i hate grigri's..that is what causes the most accidents in climbing, that and rappeling.....to easy to fuck up, i dont use one....squeak is light enough that any belay device will be fine (including a figure 8) that he doesnt need the high friction side as well.. IHYD

beginner gear- 5.10 coyote's ($100US) black diamond harness ($100US) black diamond ATC ($15US) dont realy need a chalk bag in the gym b/c everyone else puts enough on the wall for you to use. if you get super expensive shoes for the gym, you will destroy the rubber super super super fast! IHYD

they have a special tertiary rig out there for just this type of thing so that you will have your main and reserve after the cutaway.... IHYD

im not a doctor, but you dont have to land on your feet, you can slide it in as well...also you can get a bigger canopy and have a slower decent. i dont think its an end but there is a lot of research you can do and tlak to some of the old people (pops, sos....etc etc) IHYD

........................................................................ .... with a very carefully tuned double needle sewing machine - with a folder - to sew the binding tape. Hopefully he has also replaced a few dozen mud flaps before he touches your rig. so i'm guessing its a pretty technique intensive operation.... its a mirage G4 FWIW. i live in san diego and i'm trying to figure out who could do it locally, hence me trying to figure out what is required. i'm pretty sure they have a minimum of 150 jumps before they will let you jump, call first...its due to the crazy winds that are there. IHYD
