    Thanks for the replies guys. I actually did read the manual multiple times but it took me a few days of playing with viso II before i felt effecient going through the different screens and knowing what was what. Im wondering if your right about it splitting the time between when you pull and when your actually under a fully inflated canopy, especially on hop and pops. The reason i say this is because im almost certain i was not in freefall for 8 sec and only dropped 500 ft. Your free fall 'end-time' and 'altitude under canopy' is after you are under an essentially fully inflated canopy. *I am not afraid of dying...     I am 6' and have an exit weight of ~185 - 190. I tend to fall pretty slow on my belly so I will occasionally throw on a weight belt when I am doing speed stars or diving out after the base. It definitely helps and I find it easier to slow down with a little extra weight than to try to speed up when you fly slow to begin with. Good luck. *I am not afraid of dying...     I'm saying it makes more sense for people who are jumping at a higher altitude that haven't experienced it before, ie someone from sea level coming to Mile-Hi may want to up size for example. 1:1 seems like overkill at near 500 jumps either way, more so at sea level. *I am not afraid of dying...
