  1. Good set up. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  2. If you have poor vision I wouldn't risk letting one or possibly both of your contacts coming out of your eyes. I was once wearing a new pair of goggles and didn't have them tight enough on exit. As soon as I was out of the plane one of my contacts blew out of my eye. It was quite unpleasant landing with distorted depth perception due to only having one contact in. After landing I found the contact stuck to the inside of the goggles, I put it in my mouth until I could get back to the hanger and put it back in. BTW - keeping your contacts in your mouth is just fine for a quick fix, I don't know why anyone would want to do it on a regular basis though. ETA: If you are able to rinse off the contact and pending you have no corneal abrasion(s) you'll likely be fine putting the contact back in. *I am not afraid of dying... 3. Pretty simple...yield to the right, just like over in Speakers Corner! (informative AND sarcastic...damn I'm good!) Hahaha... that was good. I hate it when the intersection is packed from all sides and people think they need to go one at a time. When the opposing traffic should go at the same time. -no sarcasm added *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  4. I currently use both Netflix and AmazonOnDemand to stream instant movies to my Sony Bravia. I find the Netflix resolution to be complete shit. Even the "HD" movies are not that great and the non-HD movies are so bad I can't even watch them. Amazon on the other hand has great resolution about the same as HD tv which is 1080i. Also the movie selection for Nexflix instant watch is very slim. I think you will be disappointed if you want it mainly for the streaming video. The difference is with Amazon you pay per movie but you can chose from most all new releases. The movie selection and picture quality is far superior to Netflix. *I am not afraid of dying... 13. I'll start... With so many all knowing "active" skydivers here giving such great advice, who needs the SIM. & I love how everyone knows exactly how a 4-way stop works (especially when it's a blinking red light intersection). *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  14. We all no there is know shortage of sarcasm here on DZ.com (the single best source for skydiving information). Sometimes it's just bad and sometimes it's quite entertaining. If you come across some sarcasm and want to call it out but also want to see how it plays out, post the thread link and the post # to watch (fun for all). Or maybe you just want to vent with a little sarcasm right up front. *No politics or posts from SC please. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  15. $2500 seems about right... give or take a couple thousand dollars.
  16. Cause who would want a reserve that you can't swoop with. You should just get a JVX 78 and use that for your reserve. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  17. Whats the SIMS? The video game? Dude, the SIMS is stupid. I don't know why people keep talking about it here. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  18. Vertical Suits also make some of the nicest suits around. $$$ *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  19. Mad Rock Flash Rock ($75) Black Diamond - makes some nice harnesses too ($100) sounds reasonable. You should learn to belay with a standard ATC I prefer Petzel's Reverso for a standard ATC, it's a bit more $ than the bucket. Some climbers will want you to eventually use an auto-locking belay device, I prefer the Cinch over the GriGri. You'll prob want a chalk bag or borrow one, their not expensive, plus you'll want the practice of chalkin-up while on the wall. *I am not afraid of dying... 20. Hahahaha.. and you might get laughed out of the gym too. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  21. Mad Rock makes some great and affordable shoes that work just as well for beginner to advanced climbers, the Flash Rock is a great all-around shoe. I also prefer velcro instead of laces. Just make sure they are real tight on your feet, usually a size smaller than your street shoes. Evolve, La Sportiva, and Scarpa all make a good shoe too. I have a Mammut harness but I really like some of the new Metolius harnesses that have come out lately. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  22. Enough for me to not want to do business with such lack of response. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

  24. The post below was from a 4500 jumper, discussing incidents and I thought it was relevant to some of the issues discussed earlier in this thread. It is just one of many relevant posts in that thread. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=532763;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread *I am not afraid of dying...
