  1. Maybe you missed the post where I said I scrapped the idea, and I'm just going to top mount it on my open face. The answers before were worthless... I was looking for reasons why not to jump it, not just the answer 'don't jump it', '', etc,... As for my previous cutaway... knowing now that the GoPro would have likely just ripped off I probably wouldn't unclip my chin strap again, if it was bolted on I would still do the same in the exact same scenario. There are a lot of very experienced people that have varying opinions on barrel rolls... personally I have phased out the barrel roll and now back track briefly on our FF break-offs. I make changes to my methods based on experience and good advice weather you believe so or not. Frankly your the one coming at me with a bunch of attitude, but there are too many people here who have nothing better to do than wait for someone to JUMP ON. I had an idea for a shield mount, I put it together and asked for others to find flaws in it. Some were pointed out to me and I scrapped the idea.... seemed like a logical process. *I am not afraid of dying... 2. I'll actually turn your words and apply them to you. Get ready because you are asking for it. I'd be careful. Somebody might be reading this and seek blood revenge from what you're saying. AIf there is any act of retaliation, I will hold you are all who similarly accuse a certain group for this to be personally responsible for this. You are deliberately and purposely seekin to inflame the passions of people who may act out in an aggressive and deadly manner. I predict that you will attempt to either deny your intentions, ignore me, or support what I have to say. Denial will obviously be expected as an attempt to cover up your actions and cover your ass. If you ignore my accusations, the only valid reason for doing so is that you are putting your head in the sand and failing to own up to your responsibilities. Admission will merely verify your guilt. Therefore, you are inciting violence and soas to not set off any lunatic, you should be forced to tone down your rhetoric. Hey - just looking looking at you through your lens... I don't even understand your post. It makes no sense. It makes perfect sense. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  3. funny how at first you had him labeled as a potential "right wing nut job" but when it turns out he may actually be liberal... he's just "a nut job". but it's not just you either, there are a few others with the same tune... *I am not afraid of dying... 4. Sounds like about a 4 or 5 story building to me... I don't know any skydivers that wouldn't jump off a 4 or 5 story building. F$$K no - dude - BASE Jumpers MAYBE - but not SD One night when I was doing some volunteer work in the Emergency Dept. we had this guy come in that had "fallen" from a 3rd story balcony. Both of his femurs were fractured and were sticking out the middle of his thighs. They both had dirt and grass in them from when they stuck into the ground. He was in so much shock he wasn't even feeling any pain, that and he was full of morphine . Anyway it wasn't a pretty sight. *I am not afraid of dying... 6. You keep trying to make the argument that if a welder FUCKS UP he could kill hundreds of people with his shotty work. Which in turn somehow makes his skill set as, or more important than the surgeons. but By that logic, a commuter train conductor could also kill hundreds of people if he/she fucks up. No offense to train conductors, but you can teach a monkey to conduct a train. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

  9. Yes, thank you... I can see where a riser could catch it if coming up at the right angle. That is the type of input I've been looking for... not all the worthless BS that came before it. Guess I'll scrap the idea... and just top mount it on my open face, with that mount that uses that dual-lock velcro stuff. http://www.xtremevu.com/ *I am not afraid of dying... 10. I taped all the edges, as I said in the first post. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  11. I agree there are some great helmets out there but, I want to continue to use my full-face if possible. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  12. Yeah it can be easily removed on the ground! I know you have experience taking your helmet off during ep's though so I'm sure you will be fine I think you misinterpreted that... but anyway... do you see a snag point or flaw in design? *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  13. It can be easily removed by 2 bolts, and top mounted on my open-face in 30 sec. I'm not worried about scrapping the idea. I'm just looking for some constructive criticism and for anyone to point out actual flaws or snag points.... so far nothin. *I am not afraid of dying... 14. where are the snag points? *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  15. Yea..don't jump that Why not??? At least you used to be somewhat funny... *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  16. You do realize that if a person DID try to do a valve job on a Harley with the engine running he would probably lose a finger or two, maybe an eye, probably get severely burned,...... Cute story, but hardly accurate or relevant. You do realize it was a f'n joke right. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  17. The one thing I question is the snap button at the back, however it does hold well. Was thinking about replacing with a wing-nut. The duct tape that can be seen is just covering some lock-tight nuts, not actually holding anything together. Anyone have any actual advice. If you see flaws in it, what are they? If I can make changes to make it safer that's the whole idea. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  18. I decided I prefer my full face too much to not try a side mount that will still allow me to put my visor up. The problem was the side mount is a large snag hazard and also allows for the camera to easily be knocked off, so this is what I came up with. The cover is rather simple, cut from a thicker aluminum that should hold it's shape even against riser slap. It is designed only to keep the risers or lines from snagging the camera. There is a hinge in the front and the back is held to the helmet with a snap button. Everything is held on with lock-tight nuts and bolts. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but seems like it should do a pretty good job of diverting the risers/lines. I still plan on taping around the bare edges and adding some foam cushioning on the inside between the camera. Any other advice is appreciated. *I am not afraid of dying... 19. I voted for ya... Thought the video was pretty cool, a bit too much tracking for my taste tho. I like how you added the scenes with the figurines, cool idea. I might have to add that to one of my next videos. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  20. Get on the right and bang em out.... if you keep it rash you should be able to keep the count high, just double up on the bacon if you fall behind the 8-ball. That should do the trick. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  21. Not according to Amazon, she will tell you that AT&T is far superior in every way. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  22. Still doesn't change this: ..,welders, surgeons,... all are important in their own way. When it comes to value in training required to gain the knowledge and expertise needed to perform those jobs the surgeons out weigh the other fields in end-value of training/expertise.. there by making their services more valuable. *I am not afraid of dying... 23. I wonder what welders malpractice insurance runs annualy. Hahaha... I knew they'd try to come up with something, not sure how it helped his argument tho. They keep trying to spin this off in different directions but you can't argue the bold statement above. *I am not afraid of dying...
