I laughed at him too but he's my brother and he just kept asking me so now I have the thread to prove the common sense of the situation. Where did this idea start??? Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

OK, so I've been aksed this really crazy question that I now am passing onto all of you: when you skydive naked, is it necessary to breathe? (don't laugh), apparently someone thinks that enough oxygen will permiate the skin that you in fact will not "need" to breathe. Anyone heard this????? Well, I have DSL and love it so I say go with that it's easiest. If you want to get a CD-burner or a DVD that's not a problem as they make external ones for people like you who don't have free bays. In fact, there are models that combine CD-burner and DVD player all in one. Check this article out for a review of two of them. DSL gets my vote (assuming you're talking about Internet speedup primarily) Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

Actually this remeinds me of one FJ student that I met who said that he didn't see what the big deal was, and he wasn't scared at all. He came back for another thinking it would get better and all he said to me was "actually I'm trying to do something that has an adreneline rush to it, and this just isn't it" Bizarre. If I understand your question right you just do the following: Open both pictures (the one you want to drag, and the one you want to drag it onto) Make sure you have the image you wish to drag selected. This means making sure the appropriate layer is selected, if there is more then one. Then just use the Move Tool (the arrow with the crosshairs beside it) and drag the one image onto the other. You'll see it appear after you release the mouse button. Hope this helps. Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

One of my instructors has a Pro-track. Yes, he was surprised too. Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

I just wanted to mention that I was wrong. Sorry. I talked to someone and I guess the information I was given was wrong. We are allowed to learn to pack when we want but it's not typically covered until you get your A as you only need it for your B. (didn't have a PIM on me to check before.) My thoughts on the matter are the same though. Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

"Being alone sucks sheep balls!!! Or was that, "being alone leads to sucking sheep balls"? Or was that..." mmm, well I'm not sure I would have put it so colourfully, but yes being alone sucks. I haven't had a "significant other in 5 years!! (I'm not too appealing I guess.) I've had some good sex in that time but not with anyone that would be considered "significant". I'm tired of that whole, let's just sleep together thing, it's just gotten really old. I would like to meet someone that actually liked more about me then my ability to... Well, assuming students don't buy their own equiptment, and most of us don't have the money right away to do so, we're not allowed to pack until we get our A license. At this point we can only pack our own gear, once we get our B license we can pack others. I don't like this rule as it really puts off any talking about equiptment at all. I think they do it this way to make it as safe as possible for students, so they know who packs their chutes. The thing is, you might not get your A for 20 or even 30 jumps, do you really not want to know anything about your gear at 30 jumps? (Our licenses are a little difference here, you have to get your solo certificate before your A so it can take a while.) Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

Oh my god, that's the funniest injury story I've ever heard, and it makes me feel better about screwing up my last PLF!!! As for me, I just remember coming back to the hanger after my first jump with the parachute in my arms so I couldn't see well. I went to put my chute in the pile with the others and tripped over a little step and crash on top of all the parachutes. OK, I didn't get injured but I remember thinking it's really ironic to fall from 3000 feet and be fine and then crash while walking into the hanger! Personally, I feel like I've really acheived something everytime I dive. This might just be because I'm new though. I also can't wait to get better and try new things. Also I really like the idea of flying through the air like a bird. (OK, it's more falling then flying but conceptually, flying works for me.) Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

I just posted something similar (Age and Skydivers) a few days ago. I'm 24 too and I think that I would date probably someone 10 years older then me, but more then that, I don't know. Think about introducing the person to the people you care about, and if you'd feel OK about that. When it comes down to it age shouldn't matter, but on some level, to me, it does. I think basically it all comes down to the specific couple. Some people can make large differences work and some don't. Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

Very nice. I like simple tatoos. They're clear and age well. (Mine's simple and black too. Not skydiving related though, it's a Japanese character.) Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive

Thanks. I'll look it up. My "friends" were hoping mine was on video too, but luckily for me it's not. And yes, I'm going to try really hard not to go back before "they" let me. I just hope everyone at the dz thinks it's OK that I'm just a "hanger-on" for a while. (I don't know if there's many other sports that when you're not playing them you're hanging out on the field!) After reading threads about skydiving dreams I dreamed this last night: I was being taught with three others and the exercise we had to do was fall as fast as we could head first and then at the last second before hitting the ground, pull up and land on our feet. (Maybe it also came from the birdman landing discussion too) I was late and didn't get on the plane but the other three people managed to do it OK. (Just to make things more exciting, they were landing in a think fog and just emerged out of it like magic.) Funny, I never thought it couldn't be done in the dream... OK, I'm sorry for posting about this again but I'm all down about it and I'm hoping for some words of encouragement. I found out today that I've torn 50% of the ligaments in my left ankle and that I won't be able to jump for probably at least another two weeks (making at least four all together, probably more) Earlier they had told me less but they swelling had to go down before they could do a realy stress test and see what was going on. And I have to jump with a brace for 6 months to a year. I'm just really upset about it because I just started and I'm trying to learn. I feel like the worst student in the world for being dumb enough to crash a docile student rig and then not remembering to PLF!!! [gale smacks herself repeatedly] I know people have been way more injured than this and I'm just whining but I guess what gets me is the stupidity of the injury. ARG! "I also don't walk down the street wishing to have sex with woman in front of me. I actually find the idea that we're controlled by our libido's a touch insulting. I don't like the idea that we all have these internal battles to control ourselves." And that's my point. Some people have said that all men are potential rapists and I just don't buy it. "I'm not sure how children fit into this. I don't think pedophiles have an urge to degrade or humiliate the way that "normal" rapists do. I don't think abusing children is an act of degredation. I wonder if its roots lie closer to the idea of innocence lost." I agree that the reasons for abusing children are varried and often different from adult rape. "About 10 years ago Canada went through a similar tragedy involved protestant priests and the boys of Mount Cashel Orphanage. I believe that protesdant priests are allowed to marry." And I think you're right about that. Also, the vast majority of molesters are not homosexual. Gale Life's not worth living if you can't feel alive
