The reason for the age limit is because a minor cannot sign a legal contract and the parents cannot sign away the minors right to sue.....they can waive thier own rights to sue, but if the minor was to get injured then when the minor gets to his age of majority (18) he could then begin legal proceedings against whomever he chose (DZ, staff, manufacturers, etc. ) unfortunatly this country has waaaayyy too many lawyers...... Congrats on doing so well, I quit two weeks and one day ago........ I like the money saved......but as for extending your life.............. Just sent in my fx for a re-line, just a stock one for now, will try the X mod later once I have heard enough good stuff about it...............but now..........I have to suffer a whole weekend without it, to make jumps with a rental...probably a spectre 170!!!!..........damn.....sure could have planned it better, would have demo'd a Xaos for this weekend...........but it would have probably have made me hate mine when it returned....... I am told that the Raven has an inherant slow left turn (god knows how) and that there are other issues with other brands. Now NONE of that is personal knowledge, but when Im told this by DZ staff and people with a lot of jumps I guess theres got to be something behind it. ---->> I wouldnt give it too much credence, one very modern dz in the northwest has nothing good to say about tempo reserves, or triathlon mains...."they call them die athlons"............both work just fine....... everyone has personal preferences........... irregardless of how experienced they are, they allow their pre-concieved notions to influence their advice they dispense....
