  1. As it should be. Even aircraft flight training is logged by both the student and instructor. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  2. When Bush was Governor of Texas, the state convicted and sentenced to prison for 10 years a county sheriff for waterboarding a criminal suspect. Bush did not issue a pardon for that sheriff. So basically he could even be prosecuted by the US for illegal actions as president and also by the international community for his criminal activity. 3. What about the disinformation he put out? what about the doctored reports and the lies? Should we over look those as well? I don't think the US Government is after him for dis-information and doctored reports, this kind of thing is done in all medias every day. What pisses off the US is that Wikileaks disclosed actual crimes which embarrassed the criminals who wanted to keep them secret. So we should overlook the untruths then. Gotcha Ya got nothin', except maybe a disease called liberalism You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

  5. I can't understand why any good American wouldn't support him, he exposes crimes of murder and mayhem committed and covered up by the US Government. Should we overlook these crimes? No! and the people responsible for them should be criminally prosecuted. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

They make a great rig. Love the velcro riser covers. Tuck tabs are a real problem as they age. Got 500 jumps on mine and have no complaints. Tore up a panel on a crash and burn, sent it in and they fixed it in 1 day. Great company, great support.
  7. I kinda wonder though, why the vicious level of hate in your posts? You seem to either have a grudge or take it real personal. "vermin" is painting them with a bit of a broad brush. I really don't have a personal grudge, rather one for my fellow citizens who are victimized by "vermin" hiding behind police uniforms. A shame that a few ruin it for the many, but I don't see the many doing anything about it. Their silence puts them in the same category. 8. Sounds like a scary situation Lurch. Isn't it awful what police have become, especially in Illinois? That propaganda "the policeman is your friend" taught to us as children is just a fairy tale. They have become nothing more than shameful jack-booted thugs who the general public has grown to fear and hate. I personally haven't had any problems with cops, but like most of us I know those whose lives have been miserably disrupted by overzealous cops. We regularly see honest citizens stopped for routine traffic violations. With several squad cars and all their personal belonging scattered around the car, they seem to love dehumanizing people with their misguided authority. I'm tired of hearing that there are good cops out there. They are supposed to be. Watch how all these so-called good cops will stand by their fellow officer when one gets in trouble. This stand-by-me practice puts them in the same category; vermin not fit to wipe my feet on. There is a dis-proportionate amount of crimes committed by law enforcement officers in this Country. Just look at the atrocities committed by this garbage on youtube, or just read the daily papers. No wonder people like myself have no use or stomach for them anymore. There is a little light out there though, ones who are real cops and not just tag-along shit with IQ's bordering that of my cat. 9. As I read and understand the SB, it is just that, a "Service Bulletin". Its not listed as an emergency service bulletin either, and its not an Airworthiness Directive. Though I agree its a good idea to have the work performed, what is illegal about it? You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  10. Because of the vast crimes committed over the years by the State of Illinois and its representatives, many of us consider this Land of Lincoln a criminal organization. The guy really blew it when asked if his recorder was on, he should have said NO! I travel through this piece of shit state often and I have hidden cameras in my car. I can turn on and off remotely and any misconduct I see will be on youtube that night. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  11. Got a link? I didn't see anything on their site You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  12. Lots of good companies out there. I like Merlin Suites. They are a small company in Florida and the quality is great. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  13. I have to agree with the others. These people are only in solitary because they can't or won't follow the rules. Just like a child is punished for bad behavior, these people must also be. Most have no respect for anyone or anything and must be caged to protect guards and other inmates. What options do they give us? not many. 14. I hope the owner reported this “Fuck” to the FAA You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  15. I can't think of anything that could possibly damage a rig under those conditions. Sounds typical of conditions experienced during WWII in unpressurized B-17's and other aircraft. Sub-freezing temps were the norm for long hours, and even then the gear was sometimes jumped, with openings in terminal velocity speeds with no deployment slow-down device. 16. shitty landing Actually it looks like some kind of swooping attempt You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  17. I though anything other than a PLF was prohibited. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  18. I know skydiving legend Bill Weber can give you some great ideas. Its right up his alley and he works in a part of the industry that makes devices for different, out of the ordinary applications. PM me and I will put you in touch with him. He is a great guy and easy to talk to. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  19. I love Crackerbarrel when I'm on the road. I never eat there but their restrooms are nice & clean and there are lots of them. I just leave them a barrel from my own crack! You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  20. Hi Krip, You are correct! The real battle would be "who gets the tandem and student business". The marketing skills of both operations will be put to the test here. There is a certain amount of loyalty and familiarity that determines where many experienced skydivers frequent. And listening to the skuttlebutt around DeLand, I think most will boycott any newbie on the field. Especially one as controversial as they are. Everyone I know or talk to on the subject stands behind TK and Z-Hills on their situation. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  21. My job is so unique that I really haven't met many people who do it. The pay is good and the hours are short. But it has its drawbacks; lots of free time that has to be filled, like skydiving You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  22. I wonder if they will have an awesome restaurant and bar like Skydive Deland does? Maybe Bill will just serve in-flight meals, he'll have to do something to get the experienced while the rest of us boycott. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  23. I fixed it for you. The behavior described is indicative of an inferiority complex. Sparky Thanks Sparky You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  24. Probably some kind of jig made by a manufacturer for a specif job. Al lot of home-made contraptions were made by companies making war materials during the big one. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  25. I'm no shrink as I doubt most of the critics of Billy's psychological makeup are, but as a 20+ year Ranch member, I can say that the above description could be taken as generally accepted knowledge. It isn't new to anyone who knows Billy. But I have to defend him against this comment, that someone like Billy "...doesn't give a shit about safety..." This statement is a broad and indefensible argument, and further, shows that the speaker doesn't actually know Billy. He is a certifiable nut case; only an idiot or a fool would attempt to describe him otherwise. And he takes a certain libertarian perspective on personal behavior and responsibility, but he is absolutely passionate about safety and the safe operations and actions of skydivers, pilots and anyone else associated with the sport. Say what you will about his business practices, his friendship cementing practices, his social graces. But he has shown enough regard for safety in too many ways to allow the comment that he doesn't care to pass without comment. Thanks for your input kimemerson The skies filled with canopies on one end of the field has been the norm for many years. Pilots who frequent DeLand know where they are and where to look. Put a second operation at the other end of the field and you create a dangerous situation. Skydiving isn’t the only activity at DeLand. This reliever airport for Daytona Beach and Sanford International Airports has plenty of aviation support businesses. Maintenance facilities, fuel, hangers and about 160 based aircraft also share DED. As a flyer I use extra caution when using the airport, but knowing where jumpers are I take the acceptable risk of going there. With 2 skydiving operations, many other aviators will fuel and conduct general aviation business elsewhere. It’s simply a safety issue.
