I moved to NC recently, and have visited Chester...its a nice dz, big landing area, and they took the time to show me a map (its a big triangle!) when I asked for one. Good luck!

Yay! Everyone come visit me! Where were y'all this afternoon? It was gorgeous out, but not enough people to make a load go up.

New to tracking...I floated...
skydivelynn replied to VanillaSkyGirl's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Funny, I recently had a conversation about this. A lot of (small) girls I know have to wear lead on tracking dives We are gonna do a tracking dive with just us girls and see how slow/flat we can really go! -

Technically, that would have been "Iwasmovingsoyoucupcakedme". Chocolatey cupcakes :) I've been pied for 100, 200, 400, 500, and I got "beered" when I graduated AFF. I've noticed at our dz the girls all seem to get pied a lot. What's up with that??

None yet (530 jumps), but I've had my hand on my handles a couple times before things straightened out...

You might want a piece of elastic sewn across the bottom of the flap for the main chute's tab to be tucked into. (if that makes sense). I had that done on my old V2 and it made it much more secure. That flap liked to pop open and expose the bridle/pin. A girl at my dz had a premature from that very thing; hers behaved fine after this mod. I didn't really have any problems with the flap coming open when sitflying with the elastic holding the tab. Also added a bridle cover.

Always make any gear purchase conditional on an inspection by your rigger. Yeah there are a couple of service bulletins on it. Find a rigger who is comfortable packing them and you'll be fine.

At FDK we got bagels AND brownies on Fridays... Now I get to punch out early and jump on Fridays (actually most days) No more brownies tho...

QuoteI stuck this on the other thread, but I won't pack anything with a "catapult" (read secondary) pilot chute, reply] Do you pack them when the catapult is removed?

Should I print out the Vector 3 manual at work?

But if you use both sides of the paper its only 42 pages. You'll be doing them a favor. -

Hey Speedracer, I live in Frederick too (moved here in Feb.). I think I met you at West Point this summer. I drive to Skydive Virginia almost every weekend (~140 miles) and camp out. I sometimes jump at Delmarva and Orange as well, all three of those are good places for experienced jumpers. There is a fun Cessna dz in Littlestown, PA called The Skydivin' Place that is only 25 miles from Frederick - during the summer I'd go up after work in the evenings to jump and hang out. It's a great place, the people are very nice. http://www.skydive-pa-md.com/ I really like jumping there, and the Cessna is actually kind of a novelty for me still. Blue skies, Lynn
