Totally jealous! Cant wait till my gf drops off the christmas present kegerator. Soon as i can get the cash im buying a nitrogen system for it. Any tips on setti all that up? Keg works is the place to get it. Get the regular shit beer kegerator package and upgrade it to the Guinness tap/faucet and nitrogen bottle/gauge. You'll get the shit beer tap/faucet and Co2 bottle with the kit, just set it in the corner. I do recommend that you get 2 Nitrogen bottles from the get go as it can be tricky to find a supply of beer mix (75/25 %) that will refill you when you need it. I keep one Nitrogen bottle in reserve so I can swap out if one runs dry. You will have to play with your Nitrogen level at first to find the right amount. I found the recommended amount(30 psi I believe) to be a good starting point and then adjust it from there until you can get consistent pours. If you drink Guinness a lot, a keg is WAY cheaper than buying it any other way, even with the investment in the kegerator. Plus you don't have empties to throw away or have to run to the store and hope they have it in stock. gotcha, and yeah i sure do drink guinnes ALOT, when i can find it cheap. thankfully right now theres a sale, so im buyingit up like its the last ill ever see, haha. whats a keg of guinnes go for these days? Specalized gear like skydiving, scuba, paintball, ski, or climbing gear gets packed and checked a few days before a trip. Everything is thrown in a suitcase the night before and the morning of. If im not foing any specal activities then i pack just carryon stuffs. I dont like checking bags if i dont have to.
