i believe. in a creator, the divine, something infinitely larger than humanity. I do not claim to understand the nature of it/her/him (gender is irrelevant to divinity) but I would like to know more. The flow of life is to strong, to continually enlightening for me to think otherwise Toward that end I try keep my eyes and mind open to everything and will gladly talk to anyone about their experiences of divinity, but I have serious issues with the majority of religious dogma, particularly that which claims sole authority based on one cultures limited experiences, no matter how well written or devised. Mostly I suppose that fits in as agnostic, but if you really want to know what I believe, you’ll have to open the attachment. indeed the conflicting characters on the nature of god found in the bible are a prime reason why i cannot personally accept it as the "last word of the supreme being" it is one cultures documents of thier experience of divinity. To accept it as the only "true" version of divinity is short sighted to say the least.. for example one can easily find instances of slavery and incest sanctioned by god (according to his word, the bible) to much of the will of man has found its way into the 'word of god' to use it as a complete guide for life.. my .02 wonders how long till this thread goes nuclear ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

saw it in WA at 1000..really cool i'd guess about 10 sec of total freefall footage, but wow it was SOOOOO cool to see it really fly..

while i completely agree that child restraints should be mandatory (they are minors) [rant on] we need to get rid of compulsory seat belt laws for adults. i will firmly defend my right to be a human projectile in an accident as much as i will defend your right to be 'jetsonable cargo'. Its my life, i will risk it in any fashion i choose. Skydiving, helmets, rock climbing, or seat belts. the govt needs to back the F#%k up out of my life.. If it hadn't been for skydiving, I don't think my eyes would have opened to see the realness (is that a word) of what Amy and I share. Before the Sky, I was someone that I did not like very much, now, I am not that much better, but I am getting there. i have to agree, i even told anna (the friend i was speaking of) this weekend how i feel as if i've come out of a cave, never having seen the sun. everything changed, i wore masks everywhere before, a means of protection, 'they cant hurt me if they dont know who i am' but not any more

havent yet...well not recently at least. Still very close friends with the one i almost married though... [flashback waves] it just one of those days, walked into a freshman seminar i'd skipped the first semester (she had started the year late)and the sky changed colors. [/flashback waves] i would love that feeling, that effect again, but i think life has jaded me to it (skydiving gave it to me in a different way, the subtle shift of view) still i am sometime amazed at the paths and possibilites life unveils. So i try to live with out expectation or intent, ride the wave and see what happens..
