there was one 6 way FF dive last year where we started to climb out and the front float looked down, freaked and crawled back in...looking down we could see why, there was another plane under us.. unfortunately the 8 way belly in front had already left.. the pilot called as soon as we relayed the message to him and the other plane changed course, but the 8 way's video was a bit frightning, even though they werent really close. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

uh 30mph isnt high speed, it isnt even speeding (only 5mph over) in most places.. and you'd have to look at the number of particpants in each age group, then the number of accidents.. also remember sometime "elderly" accidents (that arent severe) arent reported since they are more likely to have enough money to pay off the damages in cash (i know of 4 such incidents while i was living in FL) driver didnt want it reported so offered to pay to repair the damage plus additional compensation for keeping quite...not the best policy certainly but it does happen, and never shows up as a statistic. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

basic motor skills and judgement could be tested in a simulator at the DMV (ala drivers ed classes) quickly and easily without to much hassle or expense once the systems are in place. not quite the same as a real driving evaluation, but you could identify people who are having obvious issues (cant find the right pedal etc..) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

thanks Q good info and a good effort. I agree with dave though, if the USPA wants credit for the things they are doing for us, they need to be more forthcoming about the direction of their efforts. this is almost a 'duh' but everyone should be required to prove they have the basic skills..it FAR to easy to get a drivers license in the US, where owning and driving as many cars as you can has become a national 'right' thanks to marketing and social influence from oil companies and automakers.. imagine how low your insurance and how high the speed limits could be if 40 % of the dirvers were taken off the road because they really lack the proper skills? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Senior adults are WAY to large a voting block to actually make them prove they have the skills to operate a motor vehicle on a semi regular basis.. its a HUGE problem is AZ, but they fixed it there by changing the expiration dates on DL so you never have to see the DMV again.. By "Suck up and deal", I mean, "Obey the law." That isn't saying you shouldn't object in court, demonstrate, vote, boycott and use every other lawful persuasion you can. But disagreement with a law does not grant exemption from it. We have the freedom to vote on issues, but then the obligation to abide by the results. Hell No! Conscience Objection to a law that you feel unjust is meaningless unless you say 'No!' and will not obey any law you feel is unjust or unwarranted. Social disobedience means making your ‘elected leaders’ aware that certain actions are intolerable and will not be obeyed, it means taking a stand whenever your 'elected leaders' pass laws you find intolerable. Gun registration and confiscation is an important example. I know many LEOs who have personally told me they would never enforce laws that take away an average citizens ability to defend themselves, or laws that lead to such and end (registration) The willingness to break laws that you feel unwarranted is one of the balances to keep government in check. Far to many people roll over like sheep and say “well it’s a law it must be right” instead of fighting for their fundamental freedoms. the ability to say "fuck you i wont do what you tell me" is an important distinction between america and other countries ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

QR jr? lol.... have you seen them? they absolutely slay QR, have since their first album while QR was busy selling out..of course they'll never be as commercially successful because they are far to 'prog' for the mainstream.. Fates may be more easily accessible (more melodic) but they wont have the mass appeal either.. bands that write 12 min songs just dont fit will into radio play rotations, that rehash the same 6 sounds... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
