Queen side usually gambits, i prefer a wide open positional game vs the close domino tension types offered by the Ruy Lopez... lately its been the Torre attack... but i havent been able to get it to work very well... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

MUCH lighter actually... Good Omens is a great read, but its focus is more comedy and entertainment than literary depth... Giaman has matured quite alot as an author since... and Murder Mysteries isnt very light hearted at all in comparison.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

for an interesting literary examination of the issues (and a well written story as well... it is all about the story in the end) i'd recommend Neil Gaiman's Murder Mysteries ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

of course not... the only evil that really exists is that which man creates... but boogiemen are useful to scare children into behaving if you believe that is a valuable teaching method... if you'd like to delve into the religious aspects ascribed to by any particular religion we can always to that too... its a very enlightening subject to examine how individual cultures 'pass the blame' onto another entity... of course if your referring to the christian mythos it is important to realize that their version of evil is part and parcel of their god... an all encompassing, all powerful, all knowing entity would be aware by default of the actions its creations will/would/did undertake... they were designed to do so and cannot act in any manner otherwise... Satan fell because God pushed him...therefore God is the prime source of Evil as well.... a causality the christians like to gloss over and pretend there are really two opposing sides… the world is much easier to accept when you can divide it into “us and them” ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

geee and that was so hard wasnt it?? the simple use of url and qoute links to give proper credit... but then of course it would be obvious it wasnt your own original thought... but since you felt the need to edit it in a manner that made it appear it was, what were you really after?? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

and what was our death toll for Nov?? oh yea major combat operations are over and the mission is accomplished.. pfft. Bush should have to tell that to the graves of the friends i'll never see again... and apologize to the American public for such a stupid publicity stunt.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

'Dreams' by Akira Kurosawa. actually i'd recommend any of his films although some are culturally difficult to get into for some people.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

well that might be true if both easter and xmas were not social/religious holidays in several ancient cultures for centuries before the currently prevailing religion cooped them for their own purposes... if the state mandated that you WORSHIP on those days off we'd have a problem, but all they mandate is that federal employees not work on those days... so no it doesnt really make sense... since the additions you mentioned were made to push a particular religions political agendas, removing them only returns us to the religiously neutral state originally intended. what many fail to understand is christian does not equal American...despite the continual attempts by christians to coopt that ideal as well... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

oh yea and women dont throw 'false compliments' at each other all day either...watching the admins play catty games and slag each other when they walk away is half the entertainment at work not being there or observing their patterns i cant say for sure, but i'd wager the subtext is "you wish you looked like SJP..." and its jealousy beacuse your still young and free and they arent... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

and that USED to make you a conservative.... as in conservative use of govermental power..... amazing how the labels change isnt it... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

beyond some basic color similarities i'd say you two dont look much alike at all... sounds more like a line than a real observation... and SJP hasnt aged well at all... she looks much more seahagish now than in that photo... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

yes but it was a rental... i was getting ready for work and had left it on the counter to charge (korea only 'real' outlets in the bathroom) it was on vibrate when someone called me.... somehow i managed to stare stupidly as it vibrated itself off the shelf into the full sink of water i was shaving in.... took it apart and left it on the dash that day while we visited sites... it worked fine when i put it back together and i never even had to tell the cute girl at the rental counter when we left... i also hucked my current phone down the street a few weeks ago.... not it likes to play 'maybe i'll ring, maybe i wont...' its only annoying when i'm expecting a call... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

agreed. WTF is up with women and all this face paint lately... dont they realize they look infinitely better with their own face rather than a layer of latex on their skin? I was looking at an otherwise beautiful woman at lunch the otherday who had such an obvious layer of base on and a line on her neck where it ended i wanted to take the water hose to her.... yeesh... accents only, not a whole new face..... its not like your under stage lights even under the AZ sun... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

that would be the "paying to do it to yourself part...." actually i know a few women who get paid to treat men like prisoners too.... its all about consent... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

hmm i was walking about 2 weeks after, but that was stubborn and stupid i was walking on the rod and the screws, not good..... i've been jogging 2-3 miles 3-4 times a week in the last month (some 4 months after breaking it) i'm nowhere near getting all the lost muscle mass back, but as i was 'lopsided' from fencing for years, the accident actually evened me out alot.. (about the only good thing to come of it) it still hurts a bit when i attempt to stretch into a full sprint and i have to work through some issues with my running mechanics now but i can at least dance again i was pretty aggressive about stretching while i was off my feet mostly and had a massage therapist work with me to get my range of motion back... the pins arent bothering me at all, so baring complications i'm leaving it all in... i had much the same discussion as Lew with my OS except he emphasized IF i did impact hard enough to break that leg again there was the chance of the rod actually shattering the bone at ends and a (small) possibility of actually bending it and breaking the bone its in.. which would be extremely bad as it would have to be cut into pieces to be removed, a VERY invasive surgery.... however its likely that i would die of severe trauma first. unless the impact was very localized from say something like a car bumper (as happens in many car vs motorcycle t-bones) however unless it started bothering me it was generally better to leave it in and do everything i can to avoid a repeat... geee thanks doc i needed you to tell me not to do THIS again.. all in all i got very very lucky.. i had a great surgeon (the doctor who took over for him on vacation literally stared at my xrays and said "damn that guy is good"... several times..) good friends to help care and push me when i needed it to recover and am generally in good shape so healed rather quickly... i expect to be jumping in the next two weeks to get current again in time for Eloy... but i'm also planning on taking it easy during the boogie and enjoying the party and the company as much as the jumps... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

nice book... i'm really enjoying the first person perspective...it reads very much like a diary and i personally think that is cool vs some slick professional 'ghost written' tale... thanks again... i'm jealous of some of those jumps already... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Umm... has that ever actually worked on someone? yes. but she wanted to before then and the timing was just to good to pass up using a line like that... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

actually i've been told that the ST/SW has done a lot to dampen the public enthusiasm for manned space exploration.. its hard to get kids (and the public in general) excited about going to the moon when Kirk has already been to Klingon.. the fantasy makes the reality 'boring'.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=6&u=/nm/20041130/od_nm/science_canada_surveillance_dc related to the 'every soldier WILL be monitored' comment i made in another thread... someone has finally figured out how to combine sources in a manner that anyone can access... the military has been doing this kind of 'fusion' for several years (with much better platforms) but soon the time will come where the actions of nearly everyone in a 'hot' part of the world will come under world wide scrutiny from more than just the military... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Thats interesting! So what would keep someone from taking a surgical stainless knife or gun on the plane? Things that make you go HMMMM. mass. if you've got a piercing THAT large you've probably got a special strap to tie it down with too.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
