  1. Thanks! But do you carry on or check? I'd hate to have my plane get ready to crash and my rig be in cargo :(
  2. I'm in the process of buying a container on the site from Colorado. I'd say keep the rig but expect to send it out to established riggers all over the country to inspect. Good Luck.
  3. Is there anything in a standard rig (including AAD) that would not allow it to be carried on a commercial flight? not including my hook knife, obviously.
  4. I started sitflying at 40 jumps and at 65, it really feels more normal. I am by no means a pro and transitions are completely foreign to me but I CAN SIT! I'm psyched ! Standing is fun too, talk about SPEED
  5. Fair enough... I know ZpX is a fabric, but it would pack smaller than Zp.
  6. The reason I mentioned weight is to allow you to predict canopy size. I really don't want to get into an argument over what I will be flying at the time I buy my rig, but for arguments sake, lets say a zpx 135 only to fly smaller and smaller canopies as I gain experience. Aren't there different sizes of container to accommodate smaller canopies?
  7. I'm looking for a small, aerodynamic container as I plan on piecing together my first rig in the next few months. I currently rent and as a Freeflyer, I feel that a large, bulky container interferes with my free flying. What is a small, aerodynamic container made for a guy that weighs 125 pounds and is designed for freeflying?
  8. I was at sebastian on my first day of AFF when a wing-suiter that "fell" out of his harness went in. When did he go? I am sorry for your loss.
  9. I know exactly what you're saying. Its just like wearing your gear on R6messagenet.com or kids driving corvettes on corvetteforum.com. Its a pet peeve of skydivers in general. That's the problem with the internet, no one knows me. I had a great conversation with Pancake at CK last night and we covered all the bases. I do hope to jump with you all sometime and I thank you for your input.
  10. I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere specifically, but what does it do differently than any other RSL?
  11. How do you know if you would be ready for that? Where did I say that?
  12. I appreciate everyone's responses and I apologize for being away for a few days. I did in fact calculate my W/L incorrectly as I am closer to 140 lbs out the door. Additionally, I have 50 jumps now, as in 12 in the past 3ish days so I'm fully committed to building a solid base of skills. I am extremely satisfied with the S2 150 and I honestly feel is not out of my control, given that I have not experienced and "emergencies" That being said, jumping daily, or every other day, can I not become more experienced than a jumper with my amount of jumps that goes once a week, or month? I appreciate the criticism, I really do! I respect the forces of gravity and I'm doing my best to learn everything I can. You're all getting caught up on my downsizing and I appreciate your concern but that is between my coaches and I. I was more interested in the flight characteristics of the canopy itself and if they are similar to the S2, then I think that the Aerodyne Pilot could be my first canopy
  13. I jumped in slower lower, DE and it was cold. I think I spent the entire tandem covering my forehead with my hands to keep the wind off of it. The cold was all that bothered me, otherwise it was freaking awesome. and here I sit, with my A.

    Sex

sex has given me the 6-pack that I've never had to work for.
  15. not to mention...tasty. Sorry, I'm Jeff. I'm new here.
  16. that is exactly my plan when I buy a canopy
  17. Your canopy gets smaller and your WL goes down. That must be what they call fuzzy math. I did it wrong, way wrong :(
  18. how do you go about arranging a naked jump? Plus what about the logistical issues and possible tugging or tearing?
  19. Oh, crap! So I'm jumping a pretty small canopy for my size and experience level ? I didn't figure with exit weight, I figured with MY weight. What is Germain's chart?
  20. So a Pilot 150 will fly faster and be more agile than a S2 yet still be forgiving. Is that what you're saying?
  21. See, the problem is I'm 120 pounds soaking wet and when I fly a 170 I hang in the air for days and landings are routine to say the least. 150 is really comfortable for now. Do the Wing Loading protocol still apply as accurately to lighter jumpers?
  22. I appreciate the words of wisdom. Yes, swooping will come with time and I am by no means rushing into it but it is a direction I want to head in. I do not have a canopy mentor to speak of but I'm sure I can find one at CK. Thanks!
