Yeah, the thing is that I need something fast, so I don't want to be too picky in the begining. -

QuoteIf you went to the Job Fair at Soldier Field the other day and got in you were lucky - they had a line that was over 2 hours long to get in to see the 60 companies there and since so many people were there you were only allowed to apply with two companies. Quote Yes, I went and it was crazy - a line of people I mean. I was there very early, so I got a chance to talk to 10-15 companies. Thank you all for the inputs on resume -

Under what TSO are Tandem Reserves tested?
skydiverek replied to skydiverek's topic in Gear and Rigging
Under what TSO are Tandem Reserves tested? Considering that a tandem pair can weigh over 400lbs and go over 200mph (tumbling with no drouge), I quess there must be a seperate category from C23d. So what are the speed and weight limits for tandem reserves (and harnesses for that matter). And what is this TSO called? Thanks! -
Is there another place/event in US where one can take a simililar extreme ride (with Rod or with a different pilot/helicopter)???

WFFC - extreme helicopter ride question
skydiverek replied to skydiverek's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Will there be a chance of taking that famous helicopter ride in Rantoul, IL this year? You know, the one with low flying, sharp turns, with people sitting on the edge of the floor. I am talking about the helicopter (and the ride) that was involved in the fatal spectator accident in 2002. So two questions here: 1. Was it back for 2003 WFFC? 2. Will it be back for 2004 WFFC? -
Or metal D-ring cutaway handle - JumpShack offers them.

I totally agree with that. To the contrary, my wuffo friend saw it and did not notice anything unusual about this skydive ... She even asked if I was the second flier in the clip ! So, now it is official - wuffos just don't get it .

Nice hand-glider... -
Check the below link to Tom's website. Is this a home-made wingsuit? The wings seem to extend from palms to feet! (The picture is very big, so you might have to scroll it to "find" the wingsuit flier.) http://homepage.mac.com/tbaiello/.Pictures/Sugar%20Glider/Sugarglider3.jpg

Has anyone discovered a "fatal" rigging error on a reserve?
skydiverek replied to skydiverek's topic in Gear and Rigging
Here is an addition to my last post saying that reserves can malfunction (so you should always have a 2nd reserve when you do an intentional cutaway). From Hooknswoop: "I know people that cutaway and deploy their reserves at re-pack time. NOT RECOMMENDED for a number of reasons. A friend of mine watched someone go in with a reserve bag lock after cutting away a perfectly good canopy (he was kown for doing this)." I saw that article. It was not even an article, but a picture of the reserve and 5-10 lines of commentary text below it. The picture was in the upper portion of the right-hand-side page - I have a good "photographic" memory -
Has anyone discovered a "fatal" rigging error on a reserve?
skydiverek replied to skydiverek's topic in Gear and Rigging
Has anyone discovered "fatal" rigging error on a reserve? I remember a picture in Skydiving magazine in 1996 or 1997 showing a reserve that was opened on the ground for a repack and was found with a molar strap wrapped around it. The jumper had made over 100 jumps with such a setup, having basically no reserve, and obviously not knowing about it. So, my queastion is: has any rigger here opened a reserve on the ground for a repack and discovered that it was in a condition that would have meant a "certain death", had it been used? No places or names needed, just stories. -
He surfed Corvette in "Triple X" movie, during a bridge jump.
