  1. The purpose sometimes is to record the 'beginner' cameraman to show him his flying skills, so that he can get better.
  2. The description said that it ended up with a pilotchute-in-tow and a reserve ride.
  3. I believe Vigil could not use a 'V' shaped cutter due to Airtect patent. So they used a circular one to workr around it. On a 'V' shaped cutter, 100% of cutting force is delivered to one place in the loop, on circular cutter it is 50% delivered to two places on the loop. Also, 'V' shaped cutter allowes more room for the cut loop to escape, and not be trapped between the blade and the cutter casing. Cypres's blade is also harder that Vigil's blade.
  4. It will fire at 750 feet, if the person falls belly to earth. At headdown, it will fire at 1000 feet.
  5. Yeah, not too much margin, reserve fully open at approx 100 ft to 150 ft... One second reserve PC hesitation and game over...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcBY0OGYt2s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCrvQ_xy_LA
  6. Probably to reduce the number of two-outs. Until few years ago, C and D licence holders could pull at 2000 feet. And the '750Ft' Cypres will fire at '1000 Ft' under an opening canopy (lack of burble on jumper's back). Not too much margin...!

  15. Larger chord will slow down the openings.
  16. Staging/hesitator loop solves that. Kind of like on Strong Tandem, or on Sigmas now.
