  1. what kind of knife? jack the ripper? small round Alumminum? best place for jack the ripper is jumpsuit in the leg like tonysuits do. Can't talk about the others cause I have no idea, try posting it in the crew forum they use alot of knifes. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  2. Just a thought that hasnt been mentioned here, is your gear fitting right? chest strap loosed up enough? another thing that you can do to replace the arch is to use a natural arch, and make your arms loose air instead of arching put your body something like this: front view: \_o_/ try to touch the container with your elbow (its kinda impossible, its just an explanation to try and explain myself, kinda hard to do it in another language). as mentioned before, try yoga classes, another thing to do is to ask a sports coach (phys ed teacher) to teach you how to stretch the spine muscles, and any other muscle you wish. Just remember hard archs can injure your spine, if you are in the need of hard archs to go down you should think the possibilities of using another jumpsuit (nylon) and/or weights. Regular exercise can help, too. Walk 1 hour for 3 to 5 days a week. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  3. Try to get the Body Pilot in Command video, its a very good video that talks about the different types of body position and there meanings. The mantis is a position were you reduce stability making it better for faster movements, one way to reduce stability is to put your arms closer to you. Try doing a 360° turn in normal way, then try doing a 360° turn with the arms near your body (put your hands near your face or chest) and you will see how much speed you will get without an effort, at first it will be hard to stop the turn but after a while practicing it you will conquer it. One of the reason its called transition is cause of the instability that gives, you get grips in the box position, switch to mantis turn then back to box for grips. Try to watch some 4-way videos and you will see what am talking about. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

  7. For some weird reason it seems that skydiving has been a repelant for girls here, they think they will date somebody that will die cause of jumping... yeap they are all whuffos. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  8. the 4 skydivers in the 4-way wear audible altimeters, if one does not work you can be sure that one of the other 3 will work and will see the teammate break out and track. They don't need visual altimeter, maybe for canopy ride but I think they have so much jumps that they can manage the ride without the altimeter. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  9. Hey bro! don't feel like shit... Shit does happens to us the stupid nice guys... (yeah been there ALOT OF FCKING TIMES!) it sucks eveytime it happens but there is something that always makes me feel good and thats my beer, friends, my skydiving and scuba diving. The good thing about been the nice guy is that when we find somebody (when we find her) she is a good one that will last a lot of time and will be true to us. The girls that like the bad guy usually are by-atchs that like anybody and will do anybody they see. You are reading this from a man that has been single for almost 2 years cause of that... of been nice... Most girls say they want a nice, caring, working, smart, blah blah blah blah man... I say BS they want a horrible, not caring, vagabond, stupid man. At the end they learn and want to come back, just be smart and make the right choice when that time comes. 10. am not an instructor but on >>Should students always have a knife as a safety precaution? I think they shouldn't have a knife, its another new procedure to teach and can create mind block, better let them know only the red and silver. >>Also curious to know how long it takes to cut the lines with a knife If the line is in tension it will cut easily in no time (taking in consideration that the hook knife has a good blade). 12. I had a talk with my rigger about the voodoo looking bad when it changes main sizes and he told me that when he was in RI taking his rigger he saw that the voodoo has a special velcro that was intentionally there for downsizing and making it look good (I can't explain cause I have no idea what he was talking about, maybe you can email sandi and ask, and post the answer). 13. A good way to deal with them is not the death penalty but the old fashion way that Vlad tsepesh (the real one not the vampire novel one)did, he impale them with stacks that had round tips, introduce them in the victims ass and let theyr own weight pull them down destroying all the things inside without fainting, if am not mistaken victims lasted about 1 weeks like that. It's much better than the dead penalty. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

  15. 19:0:0 19 pills I have taken this week, and a lot more I have to take. 0: damn spine... 0: first time I would of liked to get a number on this one, cause that would of meant I jumped HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  16. 1: Fixed lens with alot of holes for air. 2: email bonehead or the store you are buying. 3: is a lens cut in half, search the forum for the Bonehead boomerang, There is an explanation about how to visualize the half swoop lens. If you are planning to use it for RW get the full lens. 4: The helmet is made with carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is much better and stronger than plastic and kevlar (Z1). HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  17. shouldn't be a problem if you use soft contacts, if you use the glass one then I think there might be problem cause it doesnt stick to your eyes as good as the soft ones. If you want to try it here is a good way: be in the passenger seat of a car, have the driver accelerate until its like 120 kms/h or more (stick your hand out of the window and feel the wind to see if its kinda close to what you feel in freefall), if its close to that feeling then put on your helmet and take your head out of the window, look at every angle (to the rear, to the front, to the sky, to the earth, sideways etc.) and make your conclusions. Its fun to do that with the goggles Recommended car for the test: cars with sun roof, cars with no roof. Conclusions: police officers don't like to see that... other cars or trucks might hit your head very hard (even if you have a bonehead, but who knows the bonehead might survive but I dunno about the neck , Oh yeah me forgot, the most important thing of all: the ticket for high speed driving is expensive.... 18. PLF only, or good soft stand ups. Butt landings can cause scoliosis (the spine instead of been straight like this |, gets curve like this /). Happened to me, the pain is big, and the drugs don't work that good and worst of all am grounded for 2 weeks (doctor's order). HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

  21. Am broke, I can't get a date, I see life in a different way, freedom has a new meaning, money has a new meaning, have new trustworthy friends, I wake up early every sunday (I couldn't do that before), I drink more beer, I smoke a pack of cigarrettes every sunday, am more fat, lost interest in some things in my life. I can keep going and going... Skydiving has been the best and worst thing that has ever happened to me but I love it. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  22. If you want to try elliptical you can go to a cobalt, but email or call Dan to know what size of cobalt you should go for. Before I get flamed for recommending a cobalt (elliptical), Dan (cobaltdan) once told me that a cobalt was good for a newbie IF he loads it kinda light, thats why I said email or call Dan before buying. 23. Always send the gear to a known rigger before buying. The rigger can tell you if the price is right, if its airworthy and can give a pretty close guess on how much jumps it can last. Only bad thing with old gear is the non freefly friendly, some of them you can modify and some you can't. I forgot to put this: Even if you have a rigger check it, you should also check with the manufacturer to see if it needs a service bulletin or if its grounded for life (ie. the cypres that are been sold in ebay, those are grounded for life). HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  24. Yep that right, but hey bonehead's helmets are the best Disclaimer: I don't get paid or recieve anything from bonehead composites by writing theyr names. I just like the products. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
  25. Yep they sell overseas and by credit card. After you buy it they send you a certification (the bond) and save your info on theyr computers (in case you loose the bond). HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
