  1. The first thing that I thought when seeing this thread was "Czolgosz, working man, born in the middle of Michigan, woke with a thought and away he ran to the pan american exposition in buffalo..." Took a sec to sink in that you were talking about something else
  2. not sure when you'll see this, but there'll probably be a few of us heading over to CPI tomorrow
  3. (not specifically to you RMURRAY, just a convenient message to respond to that isn't an argument ) I just read http://www.technologyreview.com/BizTech-Energy/wtr_16504,296,p1.html which talks about the use of fuel cells+batteries in forklifts and how expensive car-sized fuel cells are. The adoption and manufacture of (and hopefully profit from selling) smaller scale fuel cells can only help increase our engineering knowledge of them and decrease the amount of extra infrastructure needed to get fuel cells in more places.
  4. While we haven't been strictly active the entire time, the MIT club has existed 1957 (we think). Nowhere near as large or active as KSUPC, though we do currently own one older rig (and used to own more, I believe).
  5. anyone interested in heading over to CPI this weekend?
  6. http://hacks.mit.edu/Hacks/by_year/1996/gore/index.html buzzword bingo with al gore
  7. I feel like the lucky charms rabbit trying to protect my lucky case of beer or something And even when I do give you a call, you don't pick up! Not my fault it was at like 3am...
  8. yea, y'all have a nice dz. how'd the time lapse come out?
  9. Just wanted to relate that the first time I flew through Logan with my rig, I had to go through all those steps too. More recent trips through Logan, I haven't had nearly as much fuss (going out both United and American, so terminals B and C). Of other major airports, SFO and LAX have both been very smooth to go through. Btw, turned out when I went through Logan the first time, one of the screeners had done an AFF level 1 at Pepperell years back, which he related after all the swabbing was done.
  10. you could try to get some cessna jumps in up here, except it's going to be coooooooooooooold this weekend
  11. I'm pretty desparate for a jump right now I got lucky and my most recent jumps were all in California where it was warm.
  12. E-mailed Diane and she thought it was doubtful the Otter would get up this weekend because of the temperatures, and Cessna's in the shop.
  13. even though it's supposed to be cold this weekend (2/18 and 2/19), anyone know of any dz's in the new england area that will be flying? i'm pretty sure none of jumptown, lebanon, or pepperell will be...
  14. It made it all the way up to 31 degrees today! not counting windchill of course I consider myself lucky we haven't gotten 3 feet of snow so far.
  15. I'm currently a senior at MIT studying computer science. This is hopefully my last term which means I should get off of dz.com and actually do my problem sets...
  16. You missed "The people you live with". Of course, I'm in a dorm right now, so there's plenty of drama all around me.
  17. Hey now, it's not that bad in Boston right now. I mean, the temperature's above freezing. That's pretty good for February.
  18. 15:2:yep 15 minutes of tunnel time this morning. That thing's fun! 2 jumps on Sunday at Perris, then got winded out and tired out from having had to wake up at 4am to catch a flight to LA.
  19. See kelpdiver's response to me asking the same question at http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2022542;#2022542 Makes some sense to me.

Hey Darin, It's possible to work around it. If you do a search for something like 'css' and then click on the link to the file, you get the blank screen, and then if you go up to the url in your browser and delete the '&string=css' from the end of the url, you can see the file details and download it.
