  1. 17 for any swoop training I've done at Z-hills Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. hmm, I'd love to see it. I think where my misunderstanding came in was that I was visualizing someone feeding a line through the slink. Would love to see pics. Blues. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Tonto, My first thoughts are that this would be a really BAD idea with thin HMA. In fact any line would suffer a lot of friction damage. The constant friction would wear through 300's like nobody's business though. Then there's the slink issue as you already mentioned. Also, I have yet to see a competitor out here with that configuration (not to say that makes it bad). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Nah, sounds like a pretty good description to me Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. But remember T, swoopers are the problem and the dangerous ones. Not those all rushing into the same airspace at the same time Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. Bill, so does the continual use of the word 'swooper' when statistics clearly show over 50% of the collisions being between 2 non swoopers. IMO it's misleading and intentionally so. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  7. Nice job Beas (and everyone else). Time for Paul and I to head home for a little bit, it sounds like!!
  8. Jay's record isn't an official world record? edit: Found this on USPA's website for the official FAI record: Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. I recommend having your rigger look at it if you don't know the gear well enough to do it on your own. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. I believe their response was multiple rotations above 1000 feet. That'd include 450's. I think getting a speed cypres, laying off the big rotations, or turning off your cypres on jumps you'll be doing 450's is a good idea. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. Trish, I plan on being there - even if the Dr won't let me jump yet. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. Travis Stewart will be there helping as well. Sorry Travis, I accidently deleted your reply while cleaning up the thread. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. So the first tx meet is over, how did you feel the canopy faired in comparison to others Brian? Looks, from the scores, like it held it's own. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. Hope to see some new faces there - weather looks good so far
  15. mmm, what issues are you having? So far Vista has been ROCK solid for me. Of course, the vendors drivers (particularly the sound card) leave much to be desired. Creative sucks. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Btw folks and Farm jumpers, THIS weekend (not the boogie weekend) there'll be Optimum Demos for people to try for free Sizes will be: 99, 106, 113, 126, 143 See you this weekend. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Folks, This thread has run it's course. There are already numerous threads on the topic, including on in the General forum here. lets continue the discussion there. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. Doesn't that typically happen to older woman, "Linda"
  19. From someone who admittedly didn't know him, how did you come to that conclusion? Arrogant, sure....jerk...sure if you were a fake and he saw through you...selfish - not a chance in hell. You really have no idea what you're talking about. But keep it up, lord help your name though if you ever make a mistake.....cause you can bet I'll be first in line calling a 'spade a spade'. Danny did more for this sport, and your country, than you could possibly ever imagine. Fortunately men like him lay their lives on the line, so people like you can spout off in a free country. 20. I'm not arguing that things need to change and get better. I agree - and like I said I am for seperate areas. What concerns me is how some people view this as a 'fix all'. Remember, over half (if you count the 2 that from all accounts appear to be non-swooper) were NON-SWOOPER related. That's the important picture I'm trying to paint here. Give swoopers their own place, hell I believe 99% of us want it anyway, but to me this is about making sure that people realize that the 58% from the last few years were regular jumpers not trying to swoop or to big turns. Once again, no argument. I think you'll find we agree on everything - I just continue (and will continue) to highlight that the problem isn't only in the swooper community...in fact, the numbers reflect it to be higher elsewhere.... 21. Do you honestly think the student would have followed that or known better? Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. Got tired of all the serious talk so I dug these up
  23. Prevent some yes, but not the majority. Check out the statistics 75% would not have been solved by seperate landing areas or turn restrictions.... Of course you'll get zero argument from me that some is better than many, but look at the figures - they're not quite where a lot of people would like to present them as. And for the record, I am very much FOR seperate landing areas. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Damn Chuck...keep posting stuff like this and I won't have a job to do!! Bang on the money...as usual. Performance Designs Factory Team
