  1. Oh, and we have a little issue to discuss.....you know - the swooping excuses list Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. Guys, Lets not clutter the thread with swooping advice - that's not what the OP is asking about. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Most likely the issue is that the pilot is leaving the 'aggresive' ending of the flare too late, not leaving enough airspeed to provide the last bit of lift (or pop up) required to stop the ground speed. It's impossible to say without video though, so to the OP - post a link to some vid, or if you can - grab a good canopy coach and have them watch your landings. 4. We've already seen that happen. Under the new system the end result was something along the lines of a 60-70 point difference on what would have been a 30 point difference or so. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. Unfortunately it's largely negated by the new ZA rules. The new rules really make ZA much easier, with a much higher likely hood of ties and/or very close scores. So, at the moment, all we've essentially done is fix one 'problem' but create another. IMO, there needs to be greater point differentials between Zones 1-4 in the new scoring system if the current water points system is going to be used. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. CJ's time of 2.143 was the fastest for the meet it seems. No sure if anyone filed for records. Performance Designs Factory Team

  11. If you're learning to build your pattern one of the ways to start is to reverse engineer your approach. Start with where you want to end up, pick a point (and altitude) that you'll turn to final from there, then base, then downwind, etc. It takes lots of practice, and many botched attempts (and refinements) but if you stick with it things will start to come together. 12. I was distracted by Shatalov's shitty swoop. Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. Are those all fun jumps?? or work and fun jumps? I thought I was doing ok with 10 jumps :10:1 3 freefly jumps 7 Hop & pops, been working on a lot of canopy time and getting used to flying and landing my new wing We had a canopy coarse today so I got 4 H&P videoed witch helped a lot. I had the best slow carving 90 degree swoop with my canopy ever, it just felt so good to be moving that fast!!!Im starting to love canopy flight and fast landings All jumps are fun jumps

    Skydive The Farm

A little over 2 years ago I began jumping at Skydive The Farm and have fallen in love with it. The people are all top notch, and friendly. The scenery is beautiful, the ponds are massive, and the place is as family friendly as I've ever seen a dz. Children (if supervised) are welcome, as are pets. The DZO is very friendly and always is running about helping people get on loads. The twin otter is great too - fast climbs to altitude are always a plus. All these reasons, and more, is why I've made Skydive The Farm my choice for training in the years to come - not to mention the ONLY place in Georgia that I'll take my friends to do a tandem. See you there! Ian Drennan Performance Designs Factory Team.
  15. Was last seen in a plastic bag in the PDFT team room in Deland.
  16. Dude! Awesome that you had such a great time, now you know why I made this post in the first place!
  17. Just thought I'd post this thought for the HP Pilots particularly but it applies to everyone: I know a lot of us are just getting their skydiving season started and, usually, this time of year we see a marked increase in incidents, often due to uncurrency. Take it easy out there when coming back from a winter layoff folks, we've got all season to tear it up
  18. Just wait until the baby reaches up and grabs that! Babies are quick! Crap, I hadn't thought about that....... Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. Thanks! I'm incredibly happy with my artist (even if it's hard to get his time). We have no plans to introduce color on the sleeve or chest piece. Even more impressive is that all the pieces on the sleeve were done 'on the fly' with no stencils. It's been a lot of trust, but I've been very very happy with the results. K.C's level of detail is astounding. Will post updated pics soon :) Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. more. No fancy piercings though, just a single bar through my eyebrow. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. I don't have any of my latest work up so the sleeve (that's now onto my chest) pics are outdated but it's actually almost done (will take more photo's soon). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. What a co-incidence.....I'll be at the farm this weekend swooping said courses
