One of my professors has his own way of handling these "disturbances". If someone interupts his class, he discretely asks the disturbers buddies for his phone #. The next class, he slyly calls the disturber from his own cel phone. When the idit answers the phone, he picks his up then yells "Turn off the damned PHONE!!!" it depends on the hole they get in with and how secure the web server is. If the web service is running with any elevated privileges, then you might as well just post the root password on the net and get it over with. Usually, we'll see a student's blog spammed with porn posts or an index page switched out. The worst I've seen was recent. We just had a student site hacked and the hacker used it to spam half of Argentina. I hate to admit it, but I was impressed on how they pulled it off although if they were REALLY smart, they'd have throttles the spam so as NOT to DOS our mail server. It wasn't a run of the mill script kiddy attack. Regarding the 2 sites, you're talking about, if there's a common authentication, then yeah, I could see an admin from one site taking over the other. no, you'll want to share the printer on the computer the printer is attached to, logon to the computer upstairs, go to start button settings control panel printers Right click on the printer that is attached. There should be a "sharing tab" click on "share this printer" then give the printer a name. Back on the laptop, do this start button run type in the run box \\computernameupstairs\printername and hit enter this will install the printer upstairs as a network printer on the laptop I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. Oh, I know shutterfly has a pro section. What I was trying to find out is if there is a way to host your own pics on your own site, but have it link to a site such as shutterfly and have the ability to charge for your photo, kinda like shutterfly's pro site. Does that make sense? If I read it correctly, Phree mentioned being able to host them on his own site but being able to send them out for printing at another site I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
