    Off topic but relating to CA propositions, Has anyone read the election pamphlet that are being mailed out, and specifically prop 4? For those outside of Ca, prop 4 is a requirement that dr's give the parent or an adult relative 48 notice before performing an abortion. I'm inclined to vote for it based on it's merits but I'm a bit turned off by the scare tactics the proponents are using, such as "don't let child abusers get away with this, vote yes to prop 4" blah blah.. Anyone know why they're resorting to that? Other than politics as usual? Even prop 8, defining marriageas between a man and woman only, isn't resorting to such tactics.     I'll have to try to find the article I read to confirm this. If I remember correctly, the article had mentioned the reason FDIC was underfunded was due to having to bail out some banks earlier in the year.     It couldn't have been because the Obamas ( I believe they file jointly) were making quite a bit more money, instead of just wanting to look good? in 05, they made 200k, the next year they made 1.6m I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..     honestly, no she is not alone although some (Bush in particular IMO) take it to an extreme. I do have to say that I find some of the parallels (Palin to Bush) to the current administration hard to swallow. Some of the allegations made in the article are too coincidental for me.     I Have a friend who's adopted overseas twice now. Before she adopted the second time, I asked why she doesn't just save the time and money and adopt locally. The way she explained it to me, it's not that domestic adoptions are terrribly difficult. The problem with domestic adoptions is that the natural parents can come back months or even years later and demand their kid back. Personally, I wouldn't want to take a chance on having a child that I've loved and raised taken away because Mommy had a change of heart years down the road. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..     Just to continue the muddiness, I thought the Canon EFS lenses were "compensated" for to be the correct focal length on EFS cameras. In other words, the EFS10-22 is 10-22 on a 30d/40d.     could someone explain the point of that video. I don't get the message the McCain campaign is trying to convey. To me, it seems like a pro Obama video. Then again, I was reading in the paper that the McCain campaign was giving out "junior deputy" badges to the media staff that stayed in the US instead of going with Obama. The plaintiffs have to show there was actual damage for the case to move along but can't prove it because the government has the State Secrets act.
