pek771. According to the Dredgers, Army Corps of engineers and others in the know while observing the operation of the dredge on the columbia river. Nothing like a money bag could survive that dredge. Also the way this dredge worked was that when the sand was off loaded a large flexable pipe was used it was placed high up away from the rivers edge. Any thing that was in it would have remained above the water line.(The money was found below the high water line) This is how it was explained to me. This type of operation is no longer used. Farflung : More info on dredging can easily be found with a simple phone call to the fazio brothers they will tell you that the money could not have come from the dredging material. The dredging material height was placed far away from where the money was found. This may have been in Grays book the fazio's pointed out where the material was placed to Carr, Gray, Tom, Brian, Carrol, and myself.So no longer is dredging a isue. As for Tom Kaye's explanation on how the money got there he just made that up on the spur of the moment when he was asked by national geographic. He said they caught him of guard with that question so he came up with the answer that a ship drug it up stream.Cooper was know genius He hyjacked the aircraft out of desperation and was shocked to even get the money. He didn't take all things into account. He was shown how to open the rear stair well.He had never jumped from that platform before,it wasn't very stable and he had no practice jumping from this platform. Jones I have posted this many times along with the info from the fazio brothers statement. That at the time the money was found above it at the high water line bits/pieces of money was also found for a good distance.Remember I was there the intire time that Gray, Tom, Carr, ect, was there. I assisted with Tom test his only interest was to solve the Cooper case by proving that Cooper landed in the river. Would have worked if I had not been there.We had looneys comming out of the wood work claiming to know where Cooper camped out it was not on the columbia. Gray spent a great deal of time with one of these guys. Any way the money was not planted there it was washed up there. The condition of the money with the edges rounded off and pieces scattered proves it. And yes it could and did float for a long period of time as I have indicated in a recent post it even could have floated just under the water line. Robert 99. I agree, It has been stated that the money was washed up there. Even the Fazio brothers claim this along with the Army Corps of Engineers. By the way Tom Kaye test also shows silver traces from the washougal River and indicated there was silver in the sand that was tested. There is also Silver mines on the washougal river watershed.If any one would like I will be glad to take them to all mines in that area.There are some that I am the only one that has been in since 1909 when they were closed. There locations are not marked so as you can see there were two sources for the silver found on the money.As for Tom Kaye test of money floating I wouldn't put much faith in that the first thing Tom did was soak the money before he put it in the water. even soaked and thrown into the center of the stream it traveled quit a ways. The Money was not allowed to get wet and packed then dry then soaked dried and packed again the way the natural elements would have treated it. if the money had landed on the side of the stream left to dry over and over again caused by the rise and fall of the river water. Had this had been done you would have found that each pack of money became boyant like a tree limb or a piece of wood an would float for a very long time. Doesn't take a rocket scientest to figure that out and remember it had 8 years in the inviroment for this action to take place.Jerry
