  1. A good set up would be great for him, but it will be some time before he can hear the difference between a bone and plastic saddle or nut. I changed out a bone nut to a plastic in my p-bass because I did not like the tone it gave me.
  2. I bet it was not even planned during the dirt dive! Looks like he should open the Cal City Anvil Brother chapter! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  3. "We still have a death that occurred. We still have police officers that have to live with the fact that there was a death involved in their case," Lynch said. A kill is a feather in their cap, make no mistake about that. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  4. Although she has a new husband, she still invited u.. To me.. that means something Yeah... It means she gets a cut of the door take. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That is exactly what it means!!!!!! And not just a cut, but 5$ from everyone there! I think she got about 300$ or so for about 4 hours of playing. She did really well and better than when I saw her last. And she has been playing for only about 5 years.
  5. The only reason I read this was because last week while at the park I saw a girl who I dated for about a month a few years ago....she was running and looking very good....well, she invited me to see her sing(she is a singer/songwriter) Friday night, but failed to mention her new husband would also be there! So I thought your post interesting.
  6. hahahahahaha!!!!! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  7. A salesman from KFC walked up to the Pope and offers him a million dollars if he would change "The Lord's Prayer" from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken." The Pope refused his offer. Two weeks later, the man offered the pope 10 million dollars to change it from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken" and again the Pope refused the man's generous offer. Another week later, the man offered the Pope 20 million dollars and finally the Pope accepted. The following day, the Pope said to all his officials, "I have some good news and some bad news. 'The good news is, that we have just received a check for 20 million dollars. The bad news is, we lost the Wonder Bread account!''' 8. Which is what I asked in my original question, i.e. whether children were subject to constitutional protections. (or at least that's what I meant to ask...I haven't gone back to see how I worded it). Blues, Dave The government has taken custody of the children and has waived the children’s rights in what they think is good faith decision making on behalf of the child. They have taken the decision away from the parents. All too easy to do in the state of Texas. Or at least in the case.
  9. Hmm...I thought they needed probable cause related to a crime, not just "due process", but this is your arena, not mine. Blues, Dave The children aren't suspects, so probably all that's required is the consent of whoever currently has custody of them, in this case CPS. Under the Texas code, CPS can bring an action to "adjudicate parentage", and then the court can order DNA tests as evidence. So the children aren't suspects, but they're subject to the search and seizure. I guess I just don't understand how it works. If the cops came to me and told me I wasn't suspected of any crimes but that I was subject to mandatory DNA testing anyhow, I'd call foul, and I'd at least have the opportunity to resist in court. It doesn't sound like these children have that option...the cops say give us some of your DNA and they have to even if they know who their parents are (or at least as much as they want to). Meh, I think the whole thing is whacked. Blues, Dave The government is doing nothing but terrorizing these people to no end and they are abusing the current laws to do so. And too, they are being housed in an arena with police to keep them in there. It looks more like a concentration camp complete with Nazi Brownshirts-they are really wearing brown uniforms!!!!!!! It is only a matter of time before the mothers who are with their children, the children who have not seen their parents and the guards start to get tired and frustrated. I suspect the women will be ones to resist first. I guess we will see women in prairie dresses on TV take a beating they will not soon forget. This is a sign of the times as to what will be coming in the future. I am so happy they did not go in there like Waco and kill all of them. But then again, this was a local cop raid, not Federal. They will try to use the DNA “evidence” against the adults no doubt. I wonder how that will play out? "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  10. Congrats!!!!!!! That is the point!!!!!!!! Cool! So those of us that pay more in taxes therefore care more than people who pay less in taxes.
  11. Maybe more than 6000 people. I suspect many of the memebers live in the woods of Idaho, Utah, Washington, northern Cali and Oregon and are not counted. And I think there is one in Waller! One of our skydivers landed in their yard not long ago and he has not been the same since! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  12. What? So first you were pissed off that everything originally stemmed from a false report, now you think making false reports to the police is ok? Can't you people make up your minds? You do not find this odd? Someone makes the call, the police show up and start their games. Then they cannot find the person who makes the call at the compound, but then find out it was a black women in CO who has made something like 40 hours of calls between two different people?????????? And now they are going to arrest her? What is this some kind of win/win deal for the cops????? Sounds fishy to me.
  13. In fact, ANYONE who pays taxes cares under your system. Congrats!!!!!!! That is the point!!!!!!!! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  14. I don't understand how The Band fits in there, but it is cool!
  15. Jeff Beck - Lots of Jeff Beck lately, been catching up on a few decades of his work Me too. I have never really been into him until I got the CrossRoads 07 DVD, and bam, he is the greatest. What a great band he had for that show. I went about bought a few of his older CD's, but nothing is as good as the live 1971 CD............I cannot recall the name but it just simply rocks and it is all live with the mistakes and all! Well, not a lot of mistakes, but it really jams!
  16. Live at the Fillmore East is the greatest live recording ever!
  17. Where does the skullduggery stop? Now The Brown Shirts are going to press charges on the woman they believe to have made the call in the first place. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  18. It will be interesting to see how the State of Texas goes about the details.
  19. I do not believe that evidence collected illegally will be deemed legal to use in court. Of course, this will take some form of argument no doubt. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"
  20. I do not agree. And it is not ok to lie, cheat or steal.
  21. If that is true, which from that news report sounds possible, that is horrid. And the 33-year old woman arrested should be charged to the full extent of the law. VR/Marg Agreed. The problem is, the sect lawyers can probably now argue that all of the subsequent searches and siezures (of material and children) was based on a lie, and therefore unconstitutional. It's like a guy who is pulled over for a burned out tail light that is working fine, and he has 50 pounds of dope in his trunk. Since he shouldn't have been searched in the first place, the charges are thrown out. That is why I advocated finding the girl, getting her testimony, and arresting the perp, and going from there. Now I am willing to bet we end up with a huge legal mess that goes on for years and costs taxpayers millions of dollars while the sect goes on doing what they do. Then again, the law has meant very little so far, so they may just go ahead and take the kids and burn down the compound. It is, after all, Texas. There you go again, Duke......this just makes too much sense for those people who cannot see without their eyes.
  22. Any time you need your opinion or complex concept illustrated, you can always count on my services! I am just that nice of a guy.
