Yeah, those security gates do a great job of keeping the thieves out. And they also do a great job of inconveniencing the legitimate residents who have to put up with their malfunctions all the time. Security gates do a great job of keeping honest people out...... Well, you know, on second thought....about a year or so ago I had a guy chase me and I just made it into the gate before it closed and that guy made no effort to jump it....had it not been there, I am sure he would have not stopped. But, then again, he decided to go to my front door instead! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

What do you think of RkyMtnHigh becoming.....
cloudseeker2001 replied to stitch's topic in The Bonfire
I think she will become quite famous within the trucking community!!!!!!! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -
Maybe if it was some kind of "hit" to knock off SF, but I doubt many thieves are living in that area. In fact, I do not think anyone could live there very long!

Any DZ's near Farmington New Mexico?
cloudseeker2001 replied to cabbage's topic in Events & Places to Jump
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I am not sure what you think you are going to find in Farmington NM, but it may very well be a big surprise!!!!!!! But, it could be worse, you could be going to Shiprock!!!!!!!! Go to Mesa Verde, lots of cool things to see there if you are into history. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -

We arent law enforcement officers. To the person that said he will get off. According to what the dectectives told us they have MORE than enough to prosecute him. Remember...they confiscated his cell phone AND digital camera. They wouldnt tell us what was on either..but why confiscate it if it coulndt be used against him? They have more than we gave them. They may not even need our testimony based on what was on that camera and/or cell phone. Sure they have more than enough to file charges, but will it stick in court? And of course the cops are going to take everything he has...that is what they do when you get arrested. If this guy walks away from this in court, he will probably sue all of you. I just read they are swingers.....not good to look good in court if the defense finds out. I guess this would go through military court......might work different. I just read that many researchers say yes, a blackhole is possible, but don't worry, it would not be very big............... Well, you know, some are bigger than others! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -
Do you have disaster preparations on hand?
cloudseeker2001 replied to AggieDave's topic in Speakers Corner
I think most people are without enough or the right provisions for even a minor disaster. What happened in New Orleans after Katrina proves this, and it also proves how the federal, state and local governments will work to manage whatever happens. The longer people will go without the comforts of life as we know it, the more barbaric people will become. If I am faced with a “shelter in place” and if I had a water source that I could purify with one of at least 3 methods I am prepared for, I can last two months with supplies I have now. I think the best thing to do during a chaotic disruption of life for more than a week, would be to get out of the city as soon as possible. Dirty bomb, bolide, earthquake, volcano suddenly erupts (people have laughed at me on this one, but people do not realize Yellowstone could kill almost everyone in North America), mass rioting, pandemic (a flu pandemic is coming, it is only a matter or time and it will kill millions in a very short period of time) or whatever, I have enough supplies and gear on hand and ready to go to get about 200 miles on foot. I do not have enough ammo to hunt for very long, only enough to ensure my personal safety along the way…..or maybe I should say to ensure my personal well being after my supplies run out……. If I had a family, my plans would be much different. I think your numbers might be a little low for an enitre family. The world we live in, people are not used to suppling provisions for months at a time. But, I have read supply list from farmers and ranchers that had to prep for the winter only 100 years ago and it was tons of food! -

Couldn't you see her in a remote trailer, perhaps a double-wide, out in Alaska somewhere? Hogs out in back, chickens in the front, peeking in the window and seeing her wearing a frilly robe, mouth wrapped around a bong. And the pation reads, "The next American VP." She may have even had sex while stoned.........we cannot trust anyone..... "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

A lone cop in a group that was getting more aggresive.......yea, that could have become a real problem......I wish more video had been posted. I don't think the RNC would be worth such a protest, better save it for something better. Such as going to total war for Taiwan or something. I did see another video where a girl and a guy are walking bikes to a concert somewhere near the RNC and a bunch of jack-booted-thugs arrest them for no reason.....but I am sure there is more video and these two nice concert goers soon turned into Rodney King!!!!! As the girl was being cuff's she says.....we have to have these bikes back by 7......I'm sure the cops got a kick out of that......by the way, none of the cops had obvious ID on their uniforms.......real nice trick. I'm pretty sure you're just messing with Bill, but really, there are a lot of guys that made a lot of jumps before you and I came along. I know and have jumped with a lot of those names he's mentioned. His license numbers are not too far from mine. His stories tell it the way it was in the 70's. I know, 'cause I was there. I would tell a lot of amazing stories, too, but I am pretty much a long term, boring weekend jumper who never goes on the big loads. HAHA!!!! No doubt in my mind Mr. Bill was jumping parachutes before they were even made of silk!!!!!!!! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

Well, I do have an 87 Wrangler and I think the seat would be perfect for this project! It has the old style roll bars that sit back for good clearance. Except the ejection seat is not for me, it would be for the passenger…I don’t want to wreck my jeep!!!…….choosing which fellow Anvil Brother would get to try it out-totally unsuspecting of course-would be the only real hard part! As for a main, I have an old 240 Navigator that would work very well for this!!!!! Sometimes it can open pretty hard, but, not to worry, I will roll the nose really tight, kind of like an old Sabre!!!!!!! And I think we should go with an assortment of Chinese rockets to get the full illumination affect-at night of course!!!!!! The AB Bothers in these parts kind of like night jumps! The over-ride for over passes is a great idea; after all, I do want them to survive! We have a shortage of fast fallers in the Houston area! Oh Yea, we will need video!!!!! I was at a used bookstore about six months ago and some woman had apparently raided her husbands movie stash and was trying to sell them…..Half Price Books was not interested in the porn movies, but I did see Nicole’s movie in the box and gave the woman 5 bucks for it. I have not been able to watch much of it, but, there is a humors scene with an airplane mechanic and some chic who rides some kind of motorized saddle with a dong sticking straight up…..
