She knew damn good and well what she was doing when she let that guy eat her coochie, she set that trap for you. Who cares where she came from or where she will go........she will find someone to take her shit and lick her clean, they always do! David McCullough is great, I really like his style! Have you read The Great Bridge or Truman? Books I am reading: To Have or To Be The Art of Listening Into Thin Air Into The Wild "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -
They are bad ass! If you ever get to take a tour of a smoke jumpers facility, it is well worth the time! I spent an hour or so at the facility in Mccall Idaho. These guys had pictures of SJ exiting at about 700ft and all the trees were on fire! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

The World simply does not have the balls to do what it takes to solve these problems of Iraq and Iran........It was wrong to remove Saddam and it is wrong to leave this Iranian thug in power. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream"

Who is really behind President Bush's speeches?
cloudseeker2001 replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
I never watch TV so I do not get to hear the Prez very often, but a few weeks ago I was at the gym and he was giving a speech and I could not believe my ears! It was so freakin bad! They guy should join Toastmasters and learn a thing or two before speaking in public ever again! -

Not true. Skydiving isn't easy, and it is a lot of work to be good at it, but it is worth it. I think on a very fundamental plain, humans are selfish. It is the learning and the giving to get beyond that initial instinct where we can find the altruism that unconditinal love requires. Maybe it is a form of enlightenment, maybe that is why it is so hard to find and happens a handful of times throughout a life. HAHAHA! I am reading your post in your voice!!!!!!! HAHAHA! Unconditional love is a type of love, not love itself. Fromm wrote the most incredible little book about what love truly is......The Art of Loving and it is jam packed with information everyone should know. Every page has something to say and this damn little book is DEEP! Check it out!

That's not my point. It's not the lack of a convenient link I'm complaining about. It's the lack of any information for me to make the decision about whether or not I want to bother to go to the referenced link. I think it should be a common etiquette and protocol to provide a synopsis with any web link. If someone wants a bunch of people to go to the trouble to read something, they should go to the trouble to provide a clue as to what the subject is about. Sorry for the thread drift. Carry on, talking about... um, er, whatever... Author and activist Noam Chomsky joined Amsterdam Forum this week and took questions from listeners from around the world on Iraq and the War on Terror. Noam Chomsky is professor emeritus of linguistics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is world renowned as a linguist and political activist. His latest book is 'Imperial Ambitions: Conversations with Noam Chomsky on the post 9/11 World.' just talks about how commen sense is not commen. when all the facts are put forward about everything the bush government does. The only thing bush lovers can come up with in deffence of this govenment policys are Tantrums , love that word. bush lovers must hate this guy , he makes sense. HAHA! Chomsky is probably the most brilliant thinkers of our time, and it does not matter if you love him or hate him, he is a philosopher and he wants to promote thought......anything he says is worth the time.

This is just the sort of event that gets me the most. This person should not be placed on the equivalent of administration flotation, he should be jailed or worse. These people are supposed to be the most respected in our society, people who are supposed to be the most just and trusted. A short list of uncool Things About Being 30
cloudseeker2001 replied to thepollster's topic in The Bonfire
May be hope for the younger generation.....I was at the bookstore looking at used CD's and these two girls about 14 started talking about the 13th Floor Elevators and how cool their music was. I was shocked and started asking them questions about classic rock.....they new about Ten Years After and Canned Heat too! Then one started talking about acid and if I had ever taken any, and about that time I decided to end the conversation and go look at books! All I could say was "Drugs are Bad" unkay! What really turned the sadistic cops on was the fact you had a CHL.......If they could up grade your charges, get you in some serious trouble and have your license taken away, that would be a nice feather in their cap. I agree with the first part of your statement, but happiness isn't something that can just be chosen. You can't order it off a drive through menu. There are those who wish upon wish to be happy, but circumstance prevents it. Not saying that makes any one suicidal, but I think its something less trivial than a simple choice. I didn't say it was trivial, simple or easy! Read Peck, Fromm, Tolstoy, Plato......These guys are heavy reading.

I do think it was because he did not care, it is because he is nothing more than a low level manager who somehow got a really big promotion and simply did not know what to do!!!!!!!! Dick is the one who is really making the decisions in Washington, GWB is just a really bad PR person!!!! The only reason GWB got involved in Katrina is because Dick was too busy making big business money off the Iraqi war! When you are the chief point person for Halliburton, you're a busy guy! Sorry, I just cannot help bashing the Pres! Yesterday at gym I watched some of his speech on tv......he is no Reagan that is for sure!
