FIFY The only time you ever went low was when you were 7 months pregant. I couldn't stay up with anyone when I was 7 months pregnant! Even though I hadn't gained any weight yet, I flew like an anvil! Awe the joys of motherhood. I went low that one time in Thailand too. Don't know what was up with that. But I was actually speaking figuratively. Are you two still talking about skydiving? Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

On one of our snow days this winter, my 4-year old came inside. When my wife asked him why he came in his reply was that he was "frozen salad" instead of frozen solid. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Must be you. I just got a new Mammut avalanche probe and didn't have that happen. You're targeted. Good thing you didn't just come from an adult bookstore. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Just say no to the skinny jeans. They don't look good on much of anyone. I thought skinny jeans were kinda in right now. I voted for the undies. Doesn't matter what's on top because knowing what's under is hot. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Video on the link is no longer up but it's on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tntSfBXjh40 "35 seconds in, 3 fights and a goal. You having fun yet?" Classic! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Cool! Just installed it!!! Good find. Must be a new app. Good bump for the thread! Also, the developer's website has good information on exporting, importing and sharing the log with your computer for both windows and mac. http://sites.google.com/site/skydivinglogbook/ Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

The SF tab didn't come about until the mid-80s so for The Deerhunter, it's correct. SF tabs on the right shoulder are annoying- Donald Sutherland in Outbreak. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

When your loan is approved, you get a certificate to redeem at any bank. When you get to the bank, they won't honor the certificate, of course, and you still have to pay the loan back. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

New tunnel near Vancouver International Airport?
Andy0689 replied to riggerrob's topic in Wind Tunnels
Here's an update for the Seattle area tunnel. Ticker is at the bottom of the page. It should open sometime in late-August or early September according to the website. Just in time for the rainy season to start up around here. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube! -
Have you ever met someone who has a third nipple?
Andy0689 replied to The_Don's topic in The Bonfire
Pretty rare thing. A good friend of mine from college has a triple nipple. And he wasn't afraid to show it off either. I think you should run around the DZ doing nipple checks this weekend. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube! -
Full-face Contour Camera Mount--- TAKE 2
Andy0689 replied to ridestrong's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It is a pretty good mount but it's heavy. I've used it with my contour for climbing and skiing. It also has an additional plate that you can buy to screw-mount it to a standard tripod size screw (1/4"-20). It's bomber and the lens protector is pretty good aside from the fogging in the middle you get. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube! -
So what are they supposed to do? And are we talking brown, black or polar? West coast teams not doing so well, eh? A Bear and a Seahawk were taking a shit in the woods. The Bear says to the Seahawk,"Do you have trouble with shit sticking to your feathers?"...the Seahawk smirked at the Bear and said..."NO...duh" ...So.....the Bear wiped his ass with the Seahawk! And then sent him back home to Washington crying and covered with shit! Good Job, Chicago! Still a long way to go to the Superbowl! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

What a great idea. So glad they have come up with a good solution for the lack of viewfinder and having to be tethered to a computer to make changes. But don't go run out and buy a Contour now. The bluetooth feature is still in development. I wonder how droid phones will handle this since they don't play .mov files. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Something like this? OK, it's a comet in the cartoon but an eclipse could have the same effect. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

I figured that they were pretty common like the Nigeria scams but it was strange that this scammer put my name and correct phone number together for my in laws. Seems a little more targeted than a random call. Wish some fucker would call me trying to tell me that he was my father (who is dead) in jail needing bail money. I'd have him running all over the state to get a fictional wire transfer. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Anyone ever hear of this scam? Some nut job called my mom this morning claiming to be me. She answered the phone (blocked number) and he said, "Hi mom, it's Andy." She was suspicious right away because of the voice but he went on to tell her how "I" was in trouble, got caught driving on the highway in New York (I'm in Washington State) with pot in my car and needed bail money. She quickly ended the conversation. I wish she had said she'd help, said she'd call back and gotten a return number. I'm wondering how they put me and my mother-in-law together. Can't think of anywhere those two things are put together. She's not on FB or any other social network sites. My address books in my computer don't have "In-Laws" in their title entries because I know who they are. Just did a password change on any accounts that have online address books but can't think of any other sources that would have put those two pieces of information together. Anyone have any ideas? I'm wondering what they might have gotten into that I should also change passwords on...... Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

What the heck is that all about? If there's some easy way to fly that I don't know about, I want the secret revealed. They have a wall like that at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. It has a mirror on it that you look down and half your body is reflected in it so when you lift one foot, you see yourself with both feet in the air. Secret revealed! Size 14 average in the US is hard to believe but at the same time believable. If you ever go to a public place and look around, the majority of people are overweight. It's sad how fat this country has become. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

You have to live with the preinstalled stuff unless you root your device from what I've read. More work to do that than it's worth it to me. Don't think it's hard to do, I'm just too lazy to do it. Plus, I hear it voids the warranty. Not sure if that's true. I think battery life is an issue on all of them. I picked up an extended battery for mine that is the same size as the one that came with the phone so I can use regular cases/shells. Made a pretty big difference and was worth the 50 bucks. I can usually go all day without charging. Seidio makes good batteries and Best Buy carries some too. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

I signed up to be notified of the beta release back in September and just got an email tonight that I could down load it. Takes some getting used to, but I love it already. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

That's beside the point. I didn't want to mention my camera body because most dSLR can handle higher ISO especially the ones with CMOS sensors. The D3 just happens to be able to deal with noise issues quite well. For that same reason, I'd actually avoid some of the Nikon dSLRs like the older D40 and D60. Their newer bodies are using CMOS sensors. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

You certainly can. Even in the dead of winter. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Very nice, John. They do perform well in good lighting and this one is exposed nicely. Can't comment on how soft it looks because it had to have been resized for posting here. In fact, I'll bet there wouldn't be much difference between that shot and one from a dSLR in the same light. Dim the lights to evening or night and then you'll see a big difference. Even the built in flashes don't help much. I'm cursed with being one of the picky ones. It's an expensive pain in the ass a lot of the time. If I'm going anywhere in the daytime and know I'll be taking pictures, I'll grab my coolpix but if I know the lighting is gonna suck, I grab the dSLR and speedlight. The attached photo here was taken on a cloudy day at my kid's school with my dSLR. The original looks much much better. I had to crush it way down to meet the 150kb limit for posting. Nice, grey Washington in early September. You know the kind. Anyway, I shot it at ISO 2000 with a speedlight to get a 1/250 shutter speed. Probably could have shot it at a lower ISO but I wanted to keep the background nice and bright because, believe it or not, it adds context for the school. At that ISO, a compact would have had so much noise or grain that the picture would have been crap. Mine shows no noise even after compression for posting. At a lower ISO that a compact could handle, the flash would have lit the subject nicely but the background would have been much darker and unbalanced lighting-wise. With a dSLR, I was able to get a really decent picture of my son's first day of school with evenly balanced light in the front and back that's a little more than just a snapshot. Might seem a bit complicated for the discussion going on here about compacts but I just wanted to explain the ISO issue a little. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Did someone say Leicas? Still have them? I've always wanted a Leica. Their new updated digitals are crazy expensive. To contribue here for Shah. Consider a dSLR. In my opinion, generally speaking, 90% of point and shoot cameras suck. I've been through a handful of compacts in the past few years and can't find anything that I'm happy with for longer than a year. I've shot Canon, Sony, Olympus and Kodak. Even being a die-hard Nikon fan, I'm not very fond of their Coolpix line and I have been through 3 of those. Anything shot at ISO 800 or higher is too noisy (grainy) to print and looks like shit on a computer display. Take a look at some of the new compacts that have bigger sensors (APS-C or four thirds) which will likely produce much better images. Even Leica is making a compact with an APS-C. With it, you get legendary Leica glass at legendary Leica prices. Sony, Panasonic and Samsung also make them. They'll cost you a little more but it's probably worth it. Give it time and eventually all cameras will have sensors that are 35mm equivalent. Someone mentioned dpreview.com as a source for reviews. Excellent site with in-depth reviews. PM me if you want some specifics or have more specific questions and I'll be glad to help. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Competing against two women and you come to a skydiving forum for votes? If one of them shows up here and posts a pic of her boobies, she'll crush you even though you're in the lead now. Good luck! It looks like a bad-ass climb! I got you up to 946! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
