  1. Try posting the question to the Quad City Skydiving Center website (Geneseo, Illinois) I'm sure that Dennis or Dano can answer your question for you. Sorry, I couldn't make it sticky skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  2. I remember the horrible way I felt when my dad died, and I imagine you feel the same way. I hope that time heals you quickly! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  3. WOW! They still write books?!? I'm gonna have to check it out! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  4. Thanks for the nostalgia and the pics! Just a note, Don Kirlin, the founder and owner of the WFFC, had a death in his family this last month (his father). I know that Don will appreciate this thread and the good vibes that go with it. I will make sure that he knows that it is here. If anyone else has some great pics to share, feel free! I love the pic of Annie and Olivia standing on the ramp. Hard to believe that is an aircraft ramp in front of the FBO, instead of a lake somewhere! That is me by the golfcart talking to the Airboss. I thinking I was saying something like "do you have any idea when these damn clouds are going to lift? We gotta get these guys up in the air!" skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  5. I had a hard time decided what to name her new love interest. It was between Andy and Bolas. I chose Andy and heard from Bolas first! What are the odds? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  6. The only time I ever stood in front of a judge was the day I adopted my daughter and he was making it final. WHAT A GREAT GUY! Streaker and I have been happy with that court date almost all of the 30 years we have had her. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  7. Oh by the way, did I mention that anything with a 75 dollar "bond" is considered a petty offense punishable by a 750 dollar fine. I guess this is the long winded way of saying.... Take option B.... What does that mean??? And is it only if I request a jury trial??? It means States Atty's, cops, jurys and judges all cost money. If you waste a judges time, it pisses him off, and he can and may charge you up to $750 bucks if he finds you guilty. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  8. thanks for sharing. Have I told you about the humungous zit I popped? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  9. On the way home from your friend's place he was in a terrible car accident. He woke up days later in the hospital and had no memory of the accident or the night before. He goes about his life now with this empty feeling in his heart, like something once filled it yet now is gone. He also finds himself drawn from time to time to the bar where he met your friend. Being a talented artist, he finds himself scribbling portraits during board meetings at work of a beautiful woman he's never met. He has no idea why he does these things or feels the way he does and generally just wanders the world in a sort of listless state, searching for the meaning of it all. Why does he feel the way he feels? Who's this mystery woman he obsessively draws in his spare time? He may never know.[/reply Until, magically, during one of his many lonely visits he happens to glance across the bar and who does he see?! It's HER the woman whos face he has just doodled on the napkin in front of him. As he gets up to walk, no RUN across the room to talk to her she turns to a man who says "Hi my name is Andy, wanna have sex?" To which she replies "Of COURSE!" and they both leave the bar. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  10. Hey Mark, while I was posting my response, you posted yours. Yours is much better! I miss your biplane! Oh yea, I miss you too! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  11. We spent the day at the University Hospital in Iowa City Iowa. My hubby is on immunosuppressants. His Dr. said if there was only one dose of the vaccine available in the Hospital, he would give it to Dave, but there isn't even one available. He said 14 died last Friday. As far as risk from the vaccine, he said that one in one hundred thousand may have problems. (I think that was the number) Guess I'm spending tomorrow on the phone, looking for vaccine. Injectable please... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  12. When you go to court, you are spending the judges time. Even he finds you guilty at that point, he may have no humor and find no reason to let you do traffic court, since you have wasted time in his court. I think I would call his clerk and ask HER if she had ever seen him be lenient after someone wasted his time. I'm in Illinois, other side of the State, population of my town about 45k. Our cops do the court thing religiously. Pay the $115, take the class. You'll save money on your insurance for the next three years, and not piss off the judge. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  13. why buy the cow.... well that used to apply to marriage. Guess it applies to a return phone call now. We have a young friend, and we have noticed a trend with him. He dates a girl exactly twice as long as it takes him to get her to bed. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  14. Oh NO! BREASTS! What is the world COMING to?! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  15. The Police Chief said he had never seen anyone use permanent marker on their face before. I have, just not anyone over the age of 3.. Good catch Lisa, thanks for the post. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  16. At our house the recession is definitely NOT over. My hubby is working every other week 424 miles away from here, for 40 % of his pay, at a company whose sales are way down, because the dealers who usually buy from them can't get financing from the bailed out banks. And of course large ag machinery doesn't fall into either the "first time homebuyers" or "cash for clunkers" programs. I work for very wealthy people doing their landscaping, and even they are cutting back to try to stay afloat. (Although, cutting 100% of what they pay me will not save them THAT much) My son hasn't worked since July, and is living under our roof til things improve. Been a long year, and the winter is gonna be longer. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  17. We were going to tear down some really dilapidated public housing and replace it with more modern and less congested housing that resembled the neighborhood surrounding it. We of course had detractors, including a woman of 27 who had NINE children, by NINE different fathers in nine years. She was sure that the welfare check from the NEXT baby was going to be the one that would bring her out of poverty. So yea, there sure are a lot of different reasons that people are poor, but in this case, she hadn't learned from her mother or her grandmother, who had both used the same method of income to live in the same project housing. And she certainly didn't learn from her previous 8 babies, that # 9 was going to bring her out of poverty some way. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  18. Isn't Halloween a decadent non-Islamic holiday??? I would think they'd rather eat a pork chop than go out with all the heathens, door to door, getting candy from the unclean. I think each of these kids deserves a page from a Playboy. That'lll make em rethink the Muslim thing.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  19. We had a huge storm a year ago, and I spent the next 5 months behind a chain saw. Several of my clients have huge property and they are all covered in massive oak, elm and maple. One of the trees that fell last year was a 60 foot oak. We cut up all of the downed timber and removed it, but the trunk still sticks up 12 to 15 feet in the air. The interesting part is, it still has another section of trunk hanging from the top of it, all the way to within 1 foot of the ground. It's on a hill, and is bordered in the back by woods and in the front by a Rhododendron garden that I planted 10 years ago with 60 rhodies. I hate to think about taking it out, but I gotta do it. Perhaps if I wait until the ground is frozen and can park my truck right behind it in the woods, and can drop it just right, I can get a new truck. Billie, wanna help? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

  23. They look an awful lot like the boa that I wore to the Flying Hellfish Toga party this summer, but since it was in Chicago, I don't think that is where they came from skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
