I dunno, Remster. I really think the 9-cell closet Homie Frederic Freaks need a little representation. Yo! Chris! You really represent, bro! Knew a guy in college, swore he wasn't 'like that', wore a lot of INTERESTING women's things. Funny, turns out he was JUST like that! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

I have no idea how to classify these specimens snowwhite Unfortunately, Great Grandpas birthday is this Sat. i already sent her a copy of the thread via PM asking her whats the deal Yea, thanks Jake. It's really not a big deal. You know how it is, "My lawyer says it should have 3 commas, your lawyer says it should have 2 commas and a period." Spent about an hour on the phone today with everyone, the mayor, city manager, their lawyer, our lawyer, Bernice, Don and me. Seems we all agree on where the commas and periods go, so all is well. See you all in August, unless Don is nice and lets us go to a bunch of boogies in the meantime.... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

One of the funniest things that I can recall ever happening to me, is when I worked for a very selfish, self righteous woman who claimed to be vegan. She sat at a luncheon with me, chewing out one of her many renters on the phone, for having a deer hide stretched on the property she was renting to these poor folks. She sat there pouring TONS of gravy on all of her vegies, bread and potatoes, wearing her leather shoes, belt and purse. She was telling them how much she hated the use of animals for our food, and therefore how revolting she found the hide to be. They had to remove the hide they were stretching, and promise to no longer hunt the land, or she was going to evict them. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Its really about the experience. At Quincy, the giant smile that came over your face when the big caro door clamps down is awsome. just sitting on the floor with 150 others (I think that how many we were... cant remember now.... lol) is awsome. after 1 go. 180 jumpers per load @ Quincy skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

I have trained several dogs to NOT leave the perimeter of the yard, even tho they have no leash. We live on a very busy street, and have trained obedience titled dogs, and one that became a cop.Labs are extremely friendly, smart animals, but just like every other dog, they are pack animals. You have to be the Alpha, or they are. Go to 6 weeks of dog obedience, and you will be amazed at the difference in your animal, and his understanding of what you (humans) expect. btw, you aren't training the dog, you are training YOU. Walking an imaginary line,(say 2 feet inside the fence line) with a dog on a choke chain with a leather lead, and CONSISTENTLY saying "NO!" with a quick jerk/release action, teaches them that they are NEVER to cross that line. Every time they come back to you the correct thing to do is LAVISH them with praise. Labs especially will eat this up, and learn to NEVER cross that line. This is gonna take a Max of 10 minutes a day for a standard size yard. If he isn't worth 10 minutes a day, your folks SHOULD find him a new home. We trained a spastic, high strung, freaked out Siberian husky, when everyone figured she needed to be put down. It can be done skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

I'm not sure that I could name everyone who showed, but we had 32 skydivers, wives and SO's Everyone seemed to have a pretty good time. We started out by watching some of the previous WFFC videos (Zabo, Tom Sanders), Then the 2003 video, then some of the local video. I think that it was all really well received, and a certain level of nig-noggery was attained. There was a new pair of breasts on hand for everyone to admire and rate when they weren't busy watching the videos, or filling their glasses. A little DD went on, but we were rowdy, and it was hard to hear on the phone, and getting late enough I didn't want anyone to hate me. Wish the rest of you could have been there, but my bar tender doesn't, poor thing could barely keep up with the regulars, and the skydivers, too. Nice night, y'all, hope we can do it again soon! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Right now it is a 6 month contract but may be extended. It's good to know that there is a paycheck coming in, even for a contract. We are there right now. Any check is a great check! Congrats, and we'll keep our fingers crossed on the extension skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Psssst...B2, you're supposed to click on 'Send' to actually sent it to me. i didn't get the direction. btw, Eener is thinking of coming so give her a call and convince her to come. We're leaving in the morning to go watch my nephew play tennis in Monmoth and then take him to an early dinner. I'm guessing we should be there around 5-6 ish. We probably won't be needing accomodations though, I got volunteered to help take down the rest of a tree that fell in mom's yard last week. I need to move back to CO so I'm not this accessible. Hey Eener! Too cool if you could come! Michael, I will re-email, and hope that it comes thru this time. Let me know if you are still having problems. Eener, you coming on 80? or 88 from Chicago... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Been held up at knife point TWICE. If I had had a gun, would have been a mess, but there probably wouldn't have been a second guy brave enough to try it. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Help with research project re: Landscape architecture
Snowwhite replied to mailin's topic in The Bonfire
Yea! You're talking my game. Have them look up Fredrick Law Olmstead, the father of landscape architecture. He designed Central Park (it was a marshy garbage dump before he got it) and he designed the Biltmore grounds in Asheville, NC. He recognized that WORK and LIVING were too closely related, and that people needed greenspace to be healthy and to unwind. He knew about environmental impact, long before the word environment was even coined. He figured that greenspaces could be made out of garbage spaces, and that play could be developed to make us healthier citizens. Another good idea is the impact of Japanese gardening on the western world. The Japanese have VERY specific ideas on what should be in a garden, no matter how large or how small. They have mastered taking the tiniest of spaces and making it look extremely large, or long. They also know the value of taking things that are in the distance and making them seem a part of your own space in order to make the space seem endless. See 'borrowed view' or 'diminishing perspective'. I have used all of these philosophies in developing various clients gardens. Hope you have a good time with the project, and get your fingernails dirty, for real. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
