Gale..I would prefer to let the instructors talk more about what you should do. But I will tell you when I was having this problem I was taught how to dearch or hub the beachball. This will slow you down rather quickly. With practice and a lot of jumps you learn how to arch/dearch to a point where you can fly with the descent rates of others. A nicer jumpsuit with slower fabric will help alot. If your a little bigger get more fabric to slow you down. Other than that you will learn the flying skills with jumping more!

I've told this one before but it's pretty good. This one time, in Atlanta, I lived with a female who owned a two bedroom condo. We got along pretty good and yes we did get drunk one night and... She was going out of town and she wanted someone to stay at the condo to take care of her cat. I didn't get along with the cat very well. She told me this girl would be coming over Saturday and would stay for a week. I'm thinking cool, right? Saturday comes and I am in my room and I hear her let herself in. I go out and introduce myself and she looks DAMN fine. She tells me that she is going out and if I minded if a couple of her friends crashed that night because they had to go to the Falcons Football game early the next morning. I say sure. I come in late and go straight to bed, alone. The next morning I wake up and go to get something to eat in the kitchen. Turn on the TV and I can hear them getting ready in my Roomates room. About ten minutes later they walk out in Atlanta Falcon Cheerleader outfits. I had three Falcons cheerleaders in my house! They invited me to bring some friends to the tailgate party and meet up with them. I called a couple of friends and they were like, yeah right. They go with me anyways and we partied our asses off with them. The following week was pretty cool. We got to know each other and went on a few dates afterwords. My roomate eventually came home and said, "did you like my surprise for you?" I haven't been jumping very much lately because I have been up north on assignment, the weather has been shitty, and I am waiting until I live closer to a DZ (hence the post whoring). Boston has several dz's close to where I will be living. I did a sit fly with Bobby Page last weekend and I still need some work before I complete transitions while flying with others.
