  1. Yes. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  2. Howard, I think I've solved the aircraft discongruity for you. The shots, both door and cockpit appear to be a Cessna Caravan. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  3. Nick DG was right. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  4. Teach yourself to rear float the door. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  5. As your reserve side jump master on this latest jump, I'm sorry I wasn't told about this condition at the time, and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss it soon. I do recommend running the issue by your Doctor. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  6. Not true. Look at the cards. Both the 2 page and the 4 page (which I prefer). If you see an I next to the blank for an initial, then it me an Instructor. C/I means Coach or Instructor, R/I Rigger or Instructor, and P/I is Pilot or Instructor. In addition the application signature on the back of cards MUST also be a VALID and CURRENT Instructor. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  7. No they don't and if you believe so, you're not doing it right. I've got 6000+ tandems and far more than a "few" intentionally unstable exits, that say I'm right. You fail to grasp the concept that it's not your skydive and the student is incapable of making an informed decision about an unstable exit. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  8. Icky is not in the skydiving vocabulary. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  9. Amen, and I seem to remember pointing out the same concept, and being blasted for it. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  10. That's fine and dandy as long as you are taking those chances with experienced jumpers, and not first time students who do not have the experience to make the decision to take on an added risk. Bull. They tend to be the ones that are burnt out and don't realize that once they take money for a skydive, it's not theirs to do with as they please. They are the carnies, rather than the instructors. They are the ones trying to milk a tip, rather than do the job as safely as possible as they were hired to do. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  11. Looks like there is a Motel 6 in Rome.... they take pets.... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  12. Considering that Tandem skydiving is a training method according to the USPA, and all USPA members who do tandems need to be USPA TI's, they should realize there is no added benefit, only risk, and it serves no purpose in the introduction of skydiving, nor the instructional process. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  13. You need a better corporate job...... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  14. It does affect the performance, however the effects are going to be hard to notice at low wing loadings. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  15. Not true. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  16. I'm going to disagree with that practice. My students are belted to the aircraft, using a separate seat belt than my own until I'm at an altitude I'd be comfortable exiting with them on my reserve. That's between 2000 and 2500 ft depending on aircraft and my seating in it. I've gone back and forth on using these, a couple of years ago I had a student release the right lower in freefall when they attempted to deploy. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  17. I'm just sayin', that's all..... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  18. And a woman would get away with it. Fucking double standards. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  19. They stabilize a helmet for camera use. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  20. No way. The door remains completely closed as long as anyone near it is seat belted to the aircraft. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  21. Momentary use of toggles will aid in keeping a canopy pressurized as it reduces the volume of the cell. Continued use has a negative effect as it slows the airspeed, and the only thing keeping the canopy inflated is ram air pressure. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  22. +1 ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  23. Yes. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  24. With out a TSO, it hasn't been out in the field being put through all the shit a knucklehead skydiver can come up with. My basic rule of thumb with new stuff...... wait a year or two to see the bugs worked out. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  25. There go the endorsement deals.... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
