    I find it easier to fly in the sky. No walls. I find it easier to do solo flying and work on specific things in the tunnel, but thats probably because solo freefalls bore the heck out of me. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    At the risk of going off topic, I think THAT phenomena is caused by the super deep setting of most tandem reserve's brakes to ensure the openings don't take too long. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    You can have linetwists on your reserve falling flat as well. Just as easy to get them on a reserve as a main. The misunderstanding that an RSL deployment from a spining malfunction is common. The fact is that line twists in that situction are most often caused by the jumper struggling to get belly to earth while deploying the reserve. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     RSL good. Fatality reports dictate that to be false. When cutting away from a spinning malfunction, you ARE NOT unstable the moment of release, making that the best window of opportunity for a clean reserve deployment. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. More than once I've been hanging on to my had for dear life, watching the last load to go up getting pounded in in high winds, turbulance, after droping through hail, only to have some punter get in my face about how he's "Not scared" and I should "just take him up for his g'damned jump he paid $200 for and how he got up at 7 in the morning just to be there, and why didn't we call and tell him the weather would be shit?!" I usually just stare at them like they are a cow, and then maybe suggest they find somewhere else to be. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Yes I am. And it appears Mirage has made it, or do you think that correcting the mistakes of the original customer for free are not enough? How about doing an over night turnaround when they made a mistake? Now they are trying to fix a percieved problem which may or may not be an issue. As to rigging work? I'll make a guess he hasn't paid for more than the original assembly. In this case the manufacture seems to be doing everything possible to satify the customer, only to have them act like a two year old and tarnish their public image. I think it even more responsible of them to work this hard to resolve this issue when a thread like this one could be costing them business. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Yes but too often in the Skydiving industry we have wet behind the ear pilots and they statisticaly have a much better chance of bringing the ship down in a survivable condition with a single engine A/C. Or as one the jump pilots I trust most said "Lose an engine on a two engine ship, you've got decisions to make, one engine you just act." ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
