    1. Icing can do a few things to an A/C. a. Increase the weight and change the CG (center of gravity) of the aircraft to one that is counter productive to stable flight. b. Can degrade the ability of the wing to produce lift, and the horizontal stabilizer's ability to control pitch. c. Can jam, or incapacitate the flight control surfaces. d. Can degrade the ability of prop to produce thrust. 2. Icing is the acumulation of ice upon the airframe. 3. There is less moisture at jetway altitudes and large comercial airliners have specific systems to prevent icing. Caravan's, if equipped have minimal icing systems, only designed to handle very light icing conditions. Very few jumpships have functional icing systems, if any at all, as they are not generaly useful in normal jump opperations. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     It's not a DZ issue, it's a pilot issue. The pilot would be the punishable party. And eventually skydiving in general.     Psyco packing doesn't change the opening a bit, it simply can make bagging easier for those that have trouble bagging a canopy. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    I think he's probably getting your sarcsam and hoping you could maybe keep your mouth shut about it since you set a pretty poor example for other low time jumpers that those of us who have spent more than tem minutes in the sport have to teach, council, coach, and attemp to guide safely through this sport. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Several? I know of 4 SKYDIVING wingsuit fatalities. One was rigging related, i.e. the jumper sewes part of his main to his container. One was a friend who had the jumps, had a failure of a part of his gear and for whatever reason was not or did not complete any other emergency procedures. 2 were jumpers with too few jumps, one of which barrel rolled through his lines on deployment, and then there is Race. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Having worked in gear sales for 5 years I can tell you EVERY manufacturer screws up sometimes. What I think is even more important is how they handle it afterward. Nice job this time Aerodyne.

    Depends. Do all the jumpers hold PRO ratings on the size canopies used on the demo? I personally wouldn't have chosen the approaches they did, as the execution showed the lack of demo experience, but they did WALK off the field. Most wuffos are impressed you lived, not that you had a bomber swoop. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
