Believe me, I know it has come along way, and I am fully aware. I have an aunt who was diagnosed 7 years to live....They tried a new treatment on her, it worked...however her odds of it were coming back as brain cancer were high with this type (small cell), and this new treatment was suppose to limit that chance. And it did. She was diagnosed and treated 5 years before my mom, it has been almost 8 years since I lost my mom...my aunt is still alive. To say that there is a "Cure" is purely bullshit. There are thinks to help battle it, but by no means is research done yet, we have years to go to perfect it. Think back to the things that used to wipe people out, that no longer do because we have a "Cure". When Cancer is one of those things, then you can say what you said. I spent a large part of a year talking to and dealing with my mom's oncologist, doing my own research etc. Cancer has so many shapes and forms....we may be close to stopping one type, but there are more that follow. Ex, Small Cell vs Non-Small Cell...grow different and must be handled different. Then there is Breast, Lung, prostate, leukima....etc. This isnt a simple thing....which im sure you know. Tell that to my mother who was put 6' under from it. It still is. I know quite a few people who have had it "Cured" and it came right back again. There is no "cure" we can attempt destroying it and hope it is gone, but that doenst always work. So as far as im concerned there really is not a "Cure" yet. If I choose to not exit the plane, yes I have had to pay. However, if the plane comes down entirely due to weather then no I didnt pay. You need to make the call on the ground before going up. And if you still change your mind at least in my eyes $22 is better giving away then having one of those "Im up here wishing I was down there, instead of down there wishing I was up there" scared as hell moments. Benefit amount $300 You could make $150 PT before you started loosing $$ dollar for dollar. ex. $300 unemployment... $120 PT gig.... You still get all $300. $300 unemployment.... $200 PT gig.... You would only get $250 unemployment...
