  1. I'm sorry, but this argument is crap. Was the residence itself under arrest? The roommate, who left, was the one the police were after. There was absolutely no reason for them to be in this residence. Do you understand what a search warrant is? It is authorization (in some places a legal requirement) for officer to seize a location, person, or object and search it for evidence listed in the warrant. So yes, in your limited vocabulary, the house was 'under arrest' until it was searched. Try to understand: even if the roommate was the target if the investigation, the search warrant was for the house, so the officers searched the house. And found a dead guy.
  2. So, two personal attacks in the last 3 post, yet not a single word about the "crime" reported in the OP, Very Telling.... Maybe you should offer your thoughts.

  6. My question is this: How would one think the speech would have been different if the 2008 election went differently?
  7. Yada yada yada... What happened to the concrete step?

  9. I don’t disagree I’m just trying to find out what HandsomeSalad believes. Being able to speak both languages is great. I often get the impression that when a foreigner moves to the United States it is almost begrudgingly. They want everything this country has to offer but through no further effort on their part other than locating here. If the effort that is spent resisting assimilation was in stead spent learning the language they would be way ahead of the game.
  10. And all the citizens that still have Spanish as a first language? Can you only ever be a guest if you prefer to use Spanish? Don't need a Spanish language newspaper. Yes. A resounding yes. So the only publications in America should be in English and if you prefer to speak Spanish you will never be American. You are in for a fun time these next couple of decades. Do you believe people should assimilate when moving to a new country? Do you think they should learn the language most commonly spoken in that country?

  14. Well my first thought was that it was your post about the vibrator but I see it is still here. Not that yours should be gone but things aren’t always consistent here. Musta been good. If there was an explanation as to what and why it could have been a “teachable moment” for the rest of us.
  15. Good one ... but I figured you were going here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqImkDgDwHU&feature=related Actually that was my first thought but when I went looking for it I ran across Rodney.

  17. may NOT have been any car chases. or Motorcycles or Airplanes.. but there was a stretch Hearse, driven by a wierd sort of funeral director, played by Crispen Glover ( Marty McFlys' father ). and an Airstream Trailer or two, and an old Ford pick-up.. very varied and interesting cast. Leonardo Di Caprio was very good, in it... Some sad parts though,, by no means a Comedy...an early John C Reilly movie,, as well. jt Good movie. Like you said Di Caprio was very good. You knew you would see him again after his performance. I may have to put it in my Netflix queue.
