  1. Does he throw them like Randy Johnson pitches snowballs? Who cares about him throwing rocks? Scary thought.
  2. [reply i'm REALLY not in the mood right now to have a laugh at your joke.. thank you. Hang in there VB.
  3. And when making a low pass for someone I have my helmet and goggles on and I'm ready to jump. If something goes wrong with their exit (hanging a canopy off the rear stabilizer) and we need to get out, I’m out of there.(On the pilots command of course.)
  4. Some ideas have been put out there and some ball busting. It's all good.
  5. Why? There has literally never been a better time and place to be alive in terms of longevity, prosperity, health and quality of life than in the western world right now and you think we must be marching towards armageddon? Everything's amazing and nobody's happy The Best of Times http://vodpod.com/watch/2264493-styx-the-best-of-times .
  6. True. And now it's Life, Liberty, and the Gravy Train. Sigh Both of these statements... are heart breaking. Though, 4 years ago, I was an American Idiot. I didn't know any better either... Not only is there another definition for Happiness... the Pursuit of Happiness, was not in the original quote. It was changed, to, the Pursuit of Happiness. It was one word... Life, Liberty, and ?? But why was it changed? Who made the change? And why replace it with, the Pursuit of Happiness? Hm... Was it? http://hnn.us/articles/46460.html .
  7. I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening. What did you say? .
  8. That is why I said to look for one coming near you whan it gets warmer. Star looking in to that now. IRM http://www.uspa.org/USPAShop/tabid/353/pid/89/Default.aspx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JiAegc8EOw&feature=related Get your drinking stamina up to speed too. .
  9. I don't think one person told you watching video was good but you read "so so"? You keep saying "it's better than nothing" even when others have pointed out faults in your thinking. I hope you were referring to videos of packing not landing. Take the time now and look for a canopy course. You can probably find one now down south or make a point to find one near you when it gets warm.
  10. That is where he needs some POV instruction.
  11. You know, you asked “Pro's what do you think? Good idea or what?” Now, as often happens, when they disagree you try to sway them with your vast experience. It’s great that you’re so excited but have patients and jump, jump, jump. .
  12. They mentioned it on The Early Show (CBS) today. Okay, that may not count as a news show. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/02/03/earlyshow/main7313511.shtml?tag=contentBody;cbsCarousel
  13. It's the End of the World As We Know it (And I Feel Fine)

  15. Then how do you explain Steve Buscemi?
  16. It's the packing and passing out drunk on the hangar floor that bothers my back, not the freefall.
  17. I had my JM ask me once..."why are you nervous? afraid you'll fall out?" and start laughing...which made me realize that well DUH i plan on falling out....helped for a second, but then i was nervous again lol Any uncomfortableness (is that a word) I have from being near an open door is not so much about the falling from the plane but where you are when you fall from the plane. If I was too comfortable I’d take it as a sign of me being a little complacent. Unplanned off drop zone landings can cause a little anxiety. It is one thing to land off from a bad spot at one of the “regular” next to the dz landing choices but another thing to have to choose a place to land while under canopy that you haven’t scoped out before, possibly a good distance from the dz . Now ideally your climb to altitude will keep you close enough to the dz that you will always be able to make it back but that is not always the case. Even if the only problems landing far out causes are missing the opportunity to do your planned dive and screwing up the people you were to jump with (hardcore good friends would follow you out) or losing jumping time while you find your way back to the dz, I’ll continue to be cautious (afraid) close to the door. I’ll add, even when you accidentally fall into a swimming pool you planned on jumping in anyway, it can startle you if you’re not ready for it.
  18. When Goalies attack (sort of). http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/02/brent-johnson-drops-rick-dipietro-with-one-punch-in-only-goalie-fight-of-season-oh-yeah-and-the-pens-beat-isles-3-0/
  19. Passed a Mylar balloon under canopy at about 7 or 8 grand while doing a cross country once. Catches you off guard.
  20. I’m afraid you are going to have to post your photo so I can decide if I am on your side or the jumpmasters.

    piercing poll

Maybe, I'll need to see photos of the piercings.
  22. THAT would get her the queens treatment. Dunno... The way I've come up against constant admin problems I'm starting to wonder if the French secretly hate Canadians... Maybe all this talk about "fraternité" with the Canadian frenchies is just a cover...! Maybe the French aren’t all bad.
  23. Yes I am jumping again. I injured it on December 12, 1999 and made my return to jumping February 25, 2000. I was foolishly back in the air way to soon but got away with it. Looking back I wouldn’t jump again so soon. Good luck with your recovery.
  24. I dont think it matters much to the Obama supporters. Deflecting to Bush is all they can do to take their minds of total failure their man is becoming So you admit Bush was/is a failure?
