Saw this on tonight's news. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/13/another-air-traffic-controller-allegedly-caught-asleep-at-the-switch/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwnGoK-4Zcw&feature=player_embedded

Mythbuster Skydiving episode 04/13/11
david3 replied to gjhdiver's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is the "Blue Ice" episode I guess? You are one lucky son of a bitch. She is one good looking women. eta picture -
With this single paragraph you quite clearly illustrate how little you know or understand about the LDS church. If you want to speak intelligently about the what the church does and doesn't teach/believe you're going to have to get past the myths and fallacies that you are proclaiming as truths. Your statements on the position of the church and its beliefs are totally not credible and that is clear to anyone that does know what the church teaches/believes. You have posted several inaccuracies and outright misleading information about the LDS church. Do you think a more accurate portrayal of the churches teachings and beliefs will make jclalor see the church in a better light? I have gone to lds.org at your recommendation and haven’t found anything more logical than the youtube video jclalor linked to.

They are dead. I don’t think they will drown. Maybe they will just walk across the bottom and come out on the other side. .

Real cutaway - practice makes perfect
david3 replied to crashtested's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I’m all for doing an intentional cutaway but making it mandatory may be too far. There is something to be said about “you could induce a bigger emergency”. Using your example of pilot training, didn’t the FAA stop requiring pilots to take mandatory spin recovery training because they determined that more accidents happened due to the training than were prevented because of the training? -
And your basis for this is....? So "morality" is purely a social construct, and has no basis in religion? That seems to imply that it's a temporary, artificial construct as well, and is only here when it is convenient, as opposed to a universal truth. In other words, "morality" is what we decide it is, and it is therefore subject to change, on a whim, as it were. Am I correct? mh . Isn't religion temporary therefore subject to change, on a whim, as it were?

Here is the show. I think you may be right. http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=11&sid=459668 -
10 minutes? All I need to do is watch the commercial and I begin to feel a little sick. Feel better about myself, maybe, concerned for society as a whole, definitely.

Should we call it Treetop?

I've jumped that plane! It was at my old DZ when I lived in Pennsylvania. I was just talking to the DZO last night. It's not there anymore but it is for sure still flying jumpers somewhere. Apparently the one I referenced is a different one than the one Tink1717 and piisfish are talking about.

No mind reading needed, we can just read your thoughts on this site. Well apparently you are a little grumpy today so I’ll let it go but I think someone needs a time-out. If you don’t want people commenting, don’t post.

I'm sure you're right - because the guy in the lorry would probably just drive right over his little hamster car, and not even feel the bump. Good point.

Wow you sure seem to know me really well. Care to elaborate on my "requirements". Me thinks its the infamous size 8 requirement. Come on don't be a pussy. Dictate what you think my thoughts are. I've never had someone actually try and read my mind but WTF! Go for it! i need a good laugh. If you can't...or are just being a shit SHUT THE FUCK UP! After all what makes you think that YOU kow what I want in my life? Haven't you discussed your requirements and what you want in your life here repeatedly? .

Finally saw the movie last week. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. My girlfriend was only mildly entertained by it. Read this article yesterday. Appeals court upholds Facebook deal from 2008

I wouldn't if I was her. Got it.

Or thought she would be after the roofies kicked in. That's why I'd never accept a drink from a stranger unless I saw it being made by a neutral 3rd party. I understand you believe she (Nataly) needs to be careful. But when you say “I'd never accept a drink from a stranger unless I saw it being made by a neutral 3rd party” are you saying you wouldn’t or she shouldn’t?

To aggravate the lorry driver If that were true I would applaud them. That would require forethought though. But that was funny.

At an intersection controlled by a traffic light, why do people feel the need to pull up past the white line? And then become confused when a tractor trailer (lorry in some parts of the world?) needs to use that space to complete their turn. Now try getting the line of traffic behind them to back up. The worst part is they won’t learn the lesson and immediately after will pull up to the next intersection and pull up past the white line again. A hamster wouldn’t make the same mistake again. I know some of you are guilty. Can you explain why you do this?
