the missing word "of" is the real difference there Missing word? "Of" is not necessary in the sentence. Adding it changes the meaning. How so? Off (slang) is synonymous with kill. ...helping your Uncle Jack kill a horse. At least that is how I understood it. . Not at all how I understood it, especially given the context of grammAr. You are probably right but without “of” my interpretation is what popped into my head when reading it and does make “of” unnecessary. Since the example also speaks about jacking off a horse who knows?

The "45 degree rule" for exit separation DOES NOT WORK

I think they should put that into the SIM. But then, being the cynical fuck that I am, how many actually read the SIM these days. What is this SIM you speak of? Edit to add -
Or worse, when the men simply treat the attractive female in the office as if her looks got her there (note I'm talking about the ones who actually do pull their weight, but are dismissed based on their looks). But yeah, the ones who try to get over on their "attributes" make it harder for the rest of us, especially in predominantly male career fields. That's nice sweetie. Now run along, the men are talking.

You get to the bottom of it by jumping. It takes as many jumps as it takes. Passing levels or not you are learning and gaining valuable experience. Enjoy every one. Some day you will look back on these difficulties and smile. You will get past this. You will get past this. You will get past this. -
Since I lack charm I'll have to take your word for it.

"USPA certifies that existing drop zones meet some minimum requirements in conjunction with the FAA. Anyplace other than those have to get waivers from both the FAA and USPA." That is what you said. USPA does not certify dropzones. You send them $200 and you become a group member. You promise to follow their BSRs. FAA has nothing to do with it unless there are airspace issues. Nobody certifies anything. Due to the fact that we live in America you can pretty much jump anywhere you want as long as you comply with part 105 of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations. No drop zone required. No wavier or certificate of authorization needed. No notam necessary. No USPA membership or BSRs. As long as you comply with the requirements and restrictions in part 105. I will give you credit for knowing the pilot needs a license and that USPA list requirements for demo jumps. Semper Fi You have said on this site in the past "No notam necessary" and I know we have talked about it. I haven't seen anyone call you on it. Why do some people think a notam is required? Can someone point me to where it says it is required? I have no idea if it is or isn't. .

When they move out It is my house See, I think that's a good answer - children are the responsibility of their parents and parents should get to choose nearly everything - especially stupid subjective stuff like religion. Once the kids are adults, then they should take care of themselves and get to make their own decisions. I don't. Trying to force a certain belief system on him makes no sense in my opinion. I much rather discuss the difference in our beliefs with him, then telling him he has to believe something specific because he lives in my house. So you are the one who supports indoctrination How so?

I think turning any event into a Speaker's Corner debate would be funny. But not really very respectful. Instead, the atheist could have studied harder and become valedictorian and earned a spot on the podium to espouse their favorite, pointless, subjective belief to a captive audience. Get good grades? you get to speak up. Get bad grades? be quiet and sit through it, you had your chance. Seriously. You should hear some of the junk that immature but very self serious high school grads choose to speak at commencements>>>>> I mean, I don't want to hear some snotty kid speak up about "now being an adult and having to SAVE THE PLANET FROM GLOBAL WARMING" but I don't expect equal time to call out her brain washing. It's her moment. EXACT same thing. Let the kids have their moments. If the school would allow for it. That is my question. If it had been a Muslim would they have allowed a Muslim (Hindu, Wiccan, etc.) prayer? .

This part. "if regected, it is teaching. If followed or acepted, it it indoctrination" So, if someone chose to follow, they could be, in your estimation, taught or indoctrinated? How would some one determine which is which? I’m not trying to be flip but there are many sites online that will give you definitions for the terms teaching and indoctrination. I don’t believe any of them offer anything like "if regected, it is teaching. If followed or acepted, it it indoctrination". You asked “if I am following this correctly”. I didn’t think you were.

Actually I see it being referred to in some stories as “Weiner-gate”. Now that would be a good thread title.

Figures. Teach them to recognise the enemy and they'll know how to avoid them. Would you not be open for Ken Ham or even Ben Stein to lecture at your kid's school (if you have kids)? Or do you "teach them to recognize the enemy?" Wouldn't it be good for them to really know both sides of the issues and have the critical thinking skills to decide for themselves which is correct? So if your children used that logic and critical thinking to reject Christianity despite the religious indoctrination they are receiving will their schooling have succeeded or failed? .

These retards are everywhere and i would never let it fly. They need to be put in their place and realize what they are doing is so fucked up. What if he really just didn't know about that plane? I'm sure it's very different, but I used to ride a motorcycle for a couple of years. I don't know anything about motorcycles except how to ride one, and really only knew the make / model / engine size of my own, and tell people similar things when they start asking me about bikes if they see a pic of my old one. Could it be possible that he's new to flying and doesn't know much yet? If you are asking about the guy with the de Havilland, he said he owned it (half, he did have a partner). I don’t know how you buy an airplane and not know what it is. I have never purchased an airplane and I’m not a pilot but because of skydiving and friends with aircraft (and my own personal interest) I guess I may know a “little” bit more than the average person about planes but come on. As far as calling him out on it, he was a customer. He is always right. (The preceding was not intended to be a factual statement).
