Make sure your year is correct. I just noticed that mine was set to 2000 a few days ago. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump -

T So what if I do 7 in one day, but run out of daylight, can I still get a voucher for the 8th or does it have to be the same day ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

CRAP! Is this aboslutely true ?? I just renewed my membership and there was a little box that asked if I attended any safety breifings and I said "no". Does that mean my USPA membership won't be renewed ? But technically, my membership expires March 31st, so if I get it done before then, I should be cool, right ? Butthead: Whoa! this saturday for Safety Day ?? Davis has been promoting their safety day for a couple weeks now, and from the last e-mail newsletter I got it sounds like it's going to be a blast, with free breakfast in the morning, aircraft safety, collision avoidance, equip. checks, and freefly safety. Did I mention the free breakfast ?? Hollister is having $18 to 18,000 on Saturday, but to my knowledge is not doing anything special (training or education) for safety day. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also, according to the e-mail I got, if anyone does 7 jumps in one day, the 8th is free!! Is this all the time or just this weekend ? Seb, Liz, Ren ? Byron is not doing anything related to safety day on Saturday either. No special prices or anything. Monterey is doing something for safety day. They are going to have multiple safety booths and if you visit each one, you get a $10 jump at 18K. Plus Chop Chop should be there and has offered to do some FF coaching/jumping with Lummy and I. Plus they are having $18 to 18k on Sunday too. What's Lodi doing ?? Hollister is the closest, then Byron, then Monterey, then Davis and Lodi are about the same distance. Choices choices choices... what would you do ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Yes, I agree...now. It didn't occur to me that we would not be able to stay near each other. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Next time - exit linked...yes...got it. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I'm tellin ya - I usally am more stable than that. Really I am... ask FreeFlyHol! I think it was because you were so close, or my lack of concentration. we'll have to do it again so I can prove to you that I really can sit-fly.

HEY!!! I know that guy!!! Nice pics, Chop Chop. Let's do it again. It only gets better from here... I hope. If you notice in the first pic of me, my left (your right) shoelace is untied. When I got under canopy I noticed that BOTH of them were untied. I think that is the cause of my unstability in that jump - too much shoelace turbulence. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Nice post, Deuce. I also was able to "Test" out my reserve yesterday in Byron. Although my experience was a bit different. I found the turns on my pd193r to be quite doggish and slow, but the stall point in the flare was a bit higher than my Spectre. I didn't have a chance to run out my landing as the winds were a tad high. I did however land it standing up, although slipping a bit on the grass, I mean swamp...LOL I also was planning to deploy out the door at 14k, but the DZO suggested I not do that since there was a lot of traffic around the airport and upwind that might be hazordous for me. And I did not want to dump at terminal speeds as the slider had a huge hole in it! And he did not want me to do a HnP from 5k in the KingAir cause fuel costs were so high. So I pulled off that flight and contemplated deploying it at terminal and also tried to get some peeps together for a Cessna HnP. Other people that were jumping reserves that day suggested to deploy at terminal but be ready for a hard opening. So I got on the next flight and opened higher than normal - about 6K. I can say without a doubt that the opening was brisk, but it definitey was not a hard opening. If anyone has not had the opportunity to fly their reserve, either in a cutaway situation or a test flight, I would recommend it in a safe environment like we had the chance to do yesterday. For me, it really re-inforced my belief that I would have no problems landing my reserve when the time comes Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! I quit smoking in January 2002. Just ran some quick numbers in my head and my new rig and jumpsuit were paid for by not smoking the last 14 months. hehe Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Unless I missed something, that would have the same effect as a collapsible slider, right ? Mine takes about 3 seconds to collapse, rather than 15. It has nothing to do with stowing the slider, but collapsing it should take just a couple seconds. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah!
