What do you mean "back in the day" ?? I just heard that expression a few weeks ago. Not that I attended that meeting or anything like that. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Very true. However, I like to think that I try and do God's will and not my own. That is not to say that I sit on my ass and he does stuff for me. It means that if I put forth the footwork, he wil take care of the rest. In your example, yes, sitting on your ass will not bring a pretty girl into your life. However if you do the footwork and show some effort into getting out there in the world and being available, I believe that he will make it possible for Ms. Right to come into your life. I ran accross this site a few weeks ago. It has some good information on it about the burning sky project at burning man. It looks like so far only about 18 people are going so far. http://www.aerialsoul.com/burningsky/rn/readltr.asp?ltrID=23 Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Ok, enough of this shop talk. Pulling this thread back on track... I've also been looking at the TRV22 and the PC105 (the PC101 is no longer listed on Sony's web site although I'm really sure I can get a great deal on a closeout model right now) and the PC120 is out of my price range at the moment. The biggest differences I see is size, weight ( 3 ozs) and video image size ( 690k vs 340k ) How much of a big deal is this really ? also the $300 price difference is noted as well. Butthead: Whoa! Thanks for posting that Chris. That truly expresses how you felt about him. I'm sure he will be missed by many, even those that never met him, like me. Somebody hand me a Kleenex, please. pressure problems with ear 2 days after jumping
Cornholio replied to poohbeer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Right on! I'm the same way. Never burst an eardrum but heard it's very painful & not fun at all. Always remember it's great when you can jump another day I second that idea. I do the same thing, especially after getting over a cold. I jumped in Perris after just getting over a cold, and I had some weird stuff happen. My ears would clear after landing, but it was accompanied by a squishy sound after the "pop". By the second or third day those problems went away. Although it could be the decongestants that I was taking in additon to Claritin-D. That also caused me to have nosebleeeds on 3 of the 5 jumps on the first day...but that's a bit off topic. Bottom line is, for me, that it's normal to have your ears kinda tweaked after jumping, especially if I don't jump for a couple weeks. If I am regular and jump every weekend, I don't notice it too much. If you want to be sure, go see a Dr. I am not one, and I don't play one on TV. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! I think the way it is now, is perfect. However, the one suggestion I could make would be to pay a bit more and get custom shirts with our screen name imprinted on them. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

You're right, $265 is incorrect. The correct price is $267 !! LOL http://www.davefluker.com/bc_hiprate.html I'm in Area 3 I'm sure that BS or BC will not insure me for HMO or PPO. they are the ones that turned me down to begin with. Butthead: Whoa! Tracked for 5 seconds and only moved 77 feet!! LOL Where can I buy one of these ??

I could go for an HMO. He's part of almost every plan I had in the past. A PPO/HMO/POS, it really doesn't matter as long as I am covered in the event of an accident, and I don't get raped in the deductible. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Sorry bro, I've got serious problems with Kaiser. Let alone that my mother would have a heart attack if I told her that I had Kaiser. It's one thing to wait to be seen by a doctor, but to be treated like sheep or cows and be herded into seeing doctors and ump through hoops and shit... I know a few people that have had serious complications (even one died ) with Kaiser because of they way they do business. I'd rather pay 1000 instead of the 150 for Kaiser. Just a personal prefrence, if you will... Nope, nothing offered throgh my agency. they have things for their own employees, but I am but just a contractor. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I'm a contractor which means that I don't get the frills and benefits from my employer that I am contracted to nor the contracting company. I also have been diagnosed with Athsma and allergy problems. Other than that, I'm pretty darn healthy. So I tried to get insurance for myself some time back after my COBRA ran out (actually there was none, since my company filed for Bankruptcy) and I was denied due to an athsma medication, my allergies, and the fact that I've been to a rehab once or twice...okay 3 times!! But it's been almost 10 years since the last time I went to that country club. But the state of California has made a law that there has to be some insurance policy that will cover me provided that I meet certain requirements, such as being coverd by another company for the past 18 months, good standing with them...blah blah blah. So I am enrollled in this plan called HIPAA which is mediocre health insurance coverage Details HERE But it's costing me $265.00 a fucking month!!! That's like 10 jump tickets that I am overspending. I could see spending up to $100 for individual health insurance, but not that much. Someone please remove the shaft from my ass. So this is just a rant, I guess, but if anyone out there works for the health insurance companies or knows any tips to help me get cheaper health insurance with the same or better coverage, I'd be all over that like flies on shit.
