Also don't spend too much time looking for that 7500 RPM hard drive -cause you'll never find it...there is no such thing IIRC. They do make a 7200 RPM laptop drive, but then you will sacrifice battery life. Most laptops do fine with a 5400 RPM drive and there should be no problem doing real-time video capture with a firewire port. Q's right about the memory and processor speed. It feels like someone is burning me with the iron...over and over and over. Yeah, I know how you feel, well I'm not as bad as you, but it feels like the skin is tighening up cause of the scabbing (ewww) but when I get up to walk around, it stretches it out and it HURTS like a MOFO!! Yes, my first jump of the day on Thursday, I did a low toggle turn and wasn't prepared for the density alt and high speeds associated with it. My right leg went down to try and slow me down...doh! My g/f asked me last night, "got any video ??" Nope, not this time honey. It seemed to be too much of a hassle to get video dub from people this weekend. I guess it's time to get my own camera, so I can copy it directly. Oh. BTW - I didn't see any posts from or about BBarnhouse not making it to the boogie. Well, for the record, Betsy - YOU SUCK!! in the most nicest possible way, of course. Yeah, it was a good time, but I think the HOT weather really slowed people down and there was less activity. Plus, another plane (otter) that was supposed to show up didn't,. I did my first night jump. I was so scared, but WOW! I want to do another one !! I also did my first jump out of the caravan. I don't remember jumping from that plane before. Ok, so I am plannin on leaving work today between 5 and 6 to drive up to Davis. However, I don't want to spend most of my time in traffic. What would be the best way ? Take 680 to 80 to Davis ? or Take 680 to 580 to Byron, then take 4 to 160 to 12 to 80 ?? If I take #1, I got to deal with the Benicia bridge traffic and all that other crap. But #2 might be quicker since most of it is rural highways after Byron. But then again, 580 gets pretty packed since all the Valleys leave to go home that way. What route would you take ?
