For the most part, the rich do not cause poverty, and in many cases they help solve the problem. At the same time, the rich often take advantage of the less fortunate in the form of child labor, slavery, sweat shops, and pittance wages paid to 3rd world workers. So I guess you're saying this thread is nothing more than an opportunity to look at unconnected contrasts. Look! Rich people over there and poor people over there. Isn't that interesting?
