Not that I have the most knowledge here by far, but I'm assuming that most of the replies in your favor are going to be to wait. Often the DZ you're taking class at will provide you with a jumpsuit. I suppose there isn't any benefit to waiting, you could get one now. Only thing I can think of is that you might not be sure what type you want, between RW freeflying etc..

I'm newer to the sport and reading over this post I'm just kind of confused, I didn't know such small things can change for what type of diving you want to do? How do grips affect that much? And same with booties? (Booties are what you pull over your toes, right?)

I totally understand you, but there is just one thing that leans me toward the skydiving topic, and that is that the skydiving club at the school is one major appeal to me

Alright awesome, I wasn't sure if it would be a poor topic but I have been persuaded otherwise. Part of the prompt says to explain/describe what you have/would get out of the experience. What are some of those I should make sure to add in throughout the paper?

So I have to write an essay and one of the two prompts is to describe what you would do if you had a year off after graduation of high school before entering college. I'm thinking about doing it on skydiving, you know getting my AFF done and all that good stuff. Does this seem like an OK idea? Is that something they wouldn't mind hearing? I can't see it raising any red flags.. What are some good strong points I could throw in with it?
