    They figure you must be good with colors... I mean, to read a resistor, you have to be good at seeing colors. (or using an ohm meter) So, you can file the paperwork according to color better than someone who cant see colors as well.     You're going to have a pretty difficult time figuring out your air speed from an Iphone and assuming that you know the actual wind speed you were flying through. If you just hold onto a handheld wind speed gauge and use a digital altimeter to determine altitude loss over a set time then you'll be more accurate. I agree. GPS devices have a inherit signal distortion that wont allow a consistant signal to be much less than about 10 meters of where you are per second. Granted, the faster you go, the more accurate the signal would be. Then you can take in the fact that your ALT wont show you exactly the correct altitude. they have flaws too. I guess theres no logical EXACT way to find out, but... I could be wrong.     FYI In a CYPRES (not CYPRES 2, where we never see the batteries anyway), the batteries can be stored after they are manufactured (up to 3 years, IIRC), and then the 2 year/500 jump life limit on the batteries starts when they are installed. As another poster said, the life limit on the AAD itself starts from the date of manufacture. Ahh, that must have been what I was remembering.     C-5 is a big fucking bird. 36 pallet positions alone would easily handle 400+people and not to mention the areas that the pallets dont go, and the passenger deck. You could easily fit 500 in that puppy, probably pretty comfortably (sitting on the floor, with earplugs in). You could drive a fire truck all the way thru the cargo area in the back, out the front without worrying about hitting anything. Just dont sit in the back of the passenger compartment (the seats face the rear of the plane, so dont sit twards the front of the a/c) those generators will make you uncomfortably warm, and if you get diesel fumes for 8 hours straight, you'll start to get sick.     Also, could be a heat issue, maybe a power glitch. See if the motherboard has its auto shutoff temp set, I know of atleast one computer that was having that problem. Ended up needing a couple extra fans to get all that heat out. Open it up, blow the dust out, see if that helps any... Also look at all the fans, make sure they are spinning and not making too much noise. (Noisy fans usually dont produce the same airflow they used to) If its not on an UPS, you're wrong.     Ever check the event log? I've had a couple servers that would flip out on me and stop working, only needed to look at the event log to find the issue was something simple.
