He doesn't make mention of it either, just seems like a nice older guy. He's an older guy but in better shape than anyone I've ever met. Had the pleasure of working with him and even going on a trip with him and his team. I got to discuss the battle that he ended up being awarded the Silver Star for... He was mostly pissed off that shrapnel destroyed his (I believe it was a Mikey Mouse) watch. We even discussed how he should eventually get a new watch.     I know, I am running 8.1 Pro on this laptop, 7 Ultimate on my other and have a couple VM's running 7 and XP. What I would like to see is MS take up the route that Apple was doing, you pay for one license and you can upgrade (I think it was 5 machines) your household with the one purchase. If I could've upgraded all of my machines to 8/8.1 for the cost of one license, I would've! It's just cost prohibitive to upgrade 2-3 machines having to shell out $100-200 per machine. That's the exact reason I put Ubuntu on PC's that I build for people to become servers. It's cost prohibitive to put Server 2012 on home NAS systems. I am not against MS, I just wish it wasn't so f-n expensive to keep several devices up to date.     Its actually not that bad. The biggest reason I didn't go full out with my computers all being Ubuntu is native application compatibility. I have different versions of it on a laptop, my main server and a test VM and have built a couple NAS boxes for other people using the server version (command line interface only). Hell, my home DVR system is running Ubuntu. What can I say, the price is right! The best part is, even some of the oldest machines can still run some version of it and the native compatibility almost never bites me in the ass. It's rare that I had to download a specific driver and even then, it was only one.     It isn't terribly difficult to implement (at least not from my point of view and I'm just a lowly user). They just hadn't had a big enough issue to justify working on that over something else that was more pressing. They do a lot behind the scenes that we rarely know about, just to keep things running (and upgrading what they can). Well, the frequency of the underwater locator beacon is 37.5kHz And the whole part about saying 37.5 cycles per second, per second... Just sounds a bit redundant. ETA: Meaning it sends a signal with a ultrasonic frequency of 37.5kHz once per second.     I was a "Special Needs" kid, so my mom always made it a point to know my teachers well. "Special Needs" in the fact that I hated going to school, and would take any opportunity to leave the premises....so much so that they finally resorted to tying me to my desk, with my mother's permission. Try doing that to a child nowadays.

    I was nervous before they even left the house. Parent / Teacher Conference = imminent grounding. Don I didn't do anything wrong but I was always nervous to hear what they said to my parents! My teachers would call and leave messages on the answering machine for my dad while I was in school. There was also an automated system that would call if we were reported absent. Well, guess they didn't figure out that I got home before him, so I could delete the messages before he got home from work.     I am a pretty good jokester and most of the people in my office know it. I'd been talking about how great it will be to screw with people on April Fools day for MONTHS! When the day came, I just walked around and had a smirk on my face, watching people as they started to carefully open drawers, work on their computers, answer their phones.     Again, country dependent. I believe the only country that actually has a TSO program is the US. Other countries have some sort of similar process.
