It's back up. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

This is what you get when you force a crafty NCO who doesn't want to perform and is coming up on ETS. NSFW for lyrics. Clicky "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Can you set the from email address as the @dropzone.com but mark the reply-to address as @yahoo.com? ETA: would also probably help people get their emails seen as some peoples "from" email field would look funny to some spam systems, however coming from "dropzone.com" may get them into the inbox and not the spam folder. Just a thought. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Well, that may not quite be the same (though you're a much smarter man than I) but in the military they taught troubleshooting flow charts. It would probably not be too unrealistic to program robots with flow charts. Granted even a robot with this programming won't beat a skilled tech 9 times out of 10, but I would think it could be possible. That's how I packed my G3 and it was the approved method. I don't recall the manual showing different? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Pensky I figured he'd opt for something more like: Clicky "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message -
I sometimes wonder what you're searching when you find this kinda stuff. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

I would have the student facing forward in the aircraft, move up to where I can turn around, then rotate them out the door, BOTH feet on the step. Make sure you protect your handles when you're doing this, it's easy to hook a drogue handle on something if you're not paying attention. Some TI's like to sit back to the front of the airplane and scoot back, then rotate the students legs outside, but I always ended up seeing the student struggling to bend their legs in that way. Thanks. What's the MIRPS have in it? I didn't think it was exactly that set up. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

While I'm not exactly sure of which rigs he's talking about, there ARE freefall rigs that can be modified (easily, already set up for it) to use SL deployment and still get the square canopy out faster. Seems like it'd be better than trying to throw the nylon out there and hope. By PCA, I mean it's got a spring loaded PC that will kick out the canopy, not that there is some sort of MARD or anything. I'm sure a military rigger could fill in here. I was just the operator and it was before I was a civilian rigger. Oh, I see; I actually did think you were referring to a MARD-ish kind of set-up. But still: I thought the conventional wisdom was that dumping a pilot-chuted reserve without cutting away the main had a high risk of main-reserve entanglement. So how has this thinking evolved more recently? When in doubt, whip it out. Get as much fabric as you can out fast. Trying to throw a round reserve opposite of the direction of spin takes time, a PC will get it out in the air faster. The military has been moving to a pilot chute assisted reserve. There was a fatality while I was at jump school of a Marine (and several of the marines in the class were in his unit) that died on a streamered main and I recall them saying that the reserves they had weren't PCA but they were moving that direction. Here's a new one: I clicked to a thread and got this. By far the most intrusive ad I've ever seen on here. [inline Ad.JPG] "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Sounds like you have a CEO with his/her head on straight. It's never been easy for me to keep my composure during the last roll call. Always some survivors guilt with it. Many of the people out there that sacrificed it all were far better than I will ever be. I agree. I can't imagine this happening with a properly stowed toggle. Hell, ya may actually help their openings by pointing this out! One unit or two? That is is the question (Air Conditioner)

I think that my Nest thermostat has paid for itself. https://nest.com/ It was very easy to set up and once you set it, you can forget about it. Forget to turn your AC to away mode going out of town? Do it from the airport, too easy. My last month's power bill was $91.61 for a 1500 sqft house in central Florida that I keep chilly at night and I have a bunch of electronics on all the time. WWII paratrooper veteran makes first jump ... in 2014
theonlyski replied to JeffCa's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Didn't he have to make training jumps to get the wings? I think the jump wings with the battle star in the middle are special in th US. Not sure the jumper in the US gets his wings before he makes his cherry jump with his unit. I'm probably incorrect about the cherry jump. Great tradition though. . It is special, memorable, for lots of reasons. US military is authorized their jump wings after completion of the 5 jumps at the basic airborne course. There may be a jump number waiver but I don't know anyone who had less than 5 when they pinned them. I would think that maybe they just didn't make them jump in the course during WWII because lack of aircraft or resources. or don't fly it head down. More seriously don't sew it yourself. Ask your rigger why. At least he didn't say he was going to hand tack it to his closed reserve container.
