Doesnt make sense to do them out at 3000.Go all the way up ,...Do a high h & p..Then you have all day to play with your canopy... Makes sense if its a high traffic, multi turbine dz that doesnt want someone hanging around high up when they could be dropping other jumpers. Just sayin. Done incorrectly, alot of things can screw your rig up, as I'm sure you know... The trick is if you're going to do it, do it right! I don't have mine tacked, and they work fine, but I also don't let them set improperly. Made some from scratch today... 2 layers, shredded cheese, along with some cheese sauce, (was trying to see which would be better), fresh homemade quacamole, ground beef, sour cream, tomatos and green onions. Need to do some research on the better cheeses for this, as this cheese seems to not melt too great. Add some beans and black olives... next time will be better. I did it the old fashion way and went and shadowed a couple master riggers, almost every night, for about 2 months, then got ahold of Jerry and had him test me. (he's probably still healing from the bedsores he got while I was sewing my patch ) I did want to attend the Chutingstar course, based on location and reputation, it would have been great for me. Just didn't work out for me like that. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the courses, but try to do some pre-work so you're not doing repacks when you could be sewing. Anyone have any experience with the Pfaff 130 for canopy/line work and maybe some jumpsuit repairs? No, they don't sell new laptops with XP anymore. However, if you're looking for compatability with XP, Windows 7 Ultimate has 'XP mode' which runs XP on sort of a virtual machine. Pretty stable from what I've done with it.
