When I was working on my Senior ticket, the rigger I was working with showed me a way of closing that really works. Working the material to the sides and corners of the container, with the flat of my hands while pulling on the pull-up cord. I was amazed at how much slack I had in the closing flaps. This could be tricky with some of the smaller containers out there but it is actually much easier closing. Using a packing fid or paddle isn't a great idea if, you're not experienced with one. The idea is to take a lot of strain off of the closing flaps and grommets. Damage happens when all that canopy material is being forced along with the flaps. Finesse it! Chuck

Isee that all too often. I was coming home from work one day and I saw a jogger ahead so I slowed way down. As I passed him, I noticed that he had a cigarette in one hand and a Coors beer in the other! Chuck

Everything in Moderation.... take a diet coke with it I don't know how many folks I've known who tell me they're on a diet and go to some slop-chute like 'Golden Corral' and wash it all down with a Diet Coke! Chuck

What a sad loss. Thanks Bill, for letting us know more about your friend. My condolences to you and her family and friends. Chuck

This guy should get a pass or charge dropped...
masterrig replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
So much for being a good neighbor! I was taught, that if, you pull a pistol, you don't fire a warning shot. You aim for his middle. I hope, this guy gets the charges dropped. I wouldn't be surprised if the bad guy didn't turn around and sue the guy for holding him till police arrived. Chuck -
It was a bit of a nail-biter! I too think the Wings played with a l ot of heart and over-all real good. MacDonald has been absolutely stellar! Chuck

SJ has had Detroit's number the past few times they met and the Joe doesn't scare 'em. They're also coming off two hard losses and they're hungry for points. My prediction - it's gonna be a GREAT game! You got that right! Chuck

Today is going to be a BIG test for Joey MacDonald and the Wings. they're playing San Jose in a matinee game! 1- San Jose has beaten the Wings the last 5-games they've met. The last 3-wins, were in Detroit. Also, the Wings don't seem to play good in matinee games. It's going to be good! I'd like to see some way for the Wings to divest themselves of Ty Conklin and make Joey Mac the full-time back-up to Jimmy Howard. Right now, Joey is putting-up better numbers than Jimmy and Jimmy is the best in the League!. Chuck

You'd think, all the 'opponents' would've come to that conclusion on their own! Last night, Barry Trott told his players (in regard to Datsyuk) 'Knock him down! Get him!' Fat chance there, coach! Chuck Chuck

Yep. And now he's probably the greatest all-around player ever to lace 'em up. Hard to make an argument to the contrary. Don The guy is absolutely amazing! He's got more moves than a cat. there's nothing better in the world to watch than when Pavel has the puck. He's the ultimate hockey player... hands down! Chuck
-
You just never know when Dats is going to strike! What was it... 5-seconds left on the clock when he scored that goal? Do you recall when Datsyuk first came to Detroit? All he'd do was pass the puck! WOW! Look at him now! Zets wasn't even supposed to be there last night. According to rumors and press. The Wings are looking solid. We darned sure can't forget Bert! Chuck

state of Oregon considers releasing names of gun owners!

That's right! Chuck -
Being a good liberal, I don't think it should be that extreme. Castration might be a good option, though ... There was some speculation on a local news report that he might not be "all there" mentally. Maybe a Psychological Evaluation or a short stay in Psyc. Ward would be more appropriate. Might not be 'all there'? What was their first clue? This guy should be wearing one of those coats with the built-in hug! They've got enough on him to put him in jail for quite a while. Chuck

You raise a good point! Maybe you don't much care for guns but you seem to have an open mind about them. I'm curious... Johnny Scumbucket is 'held at gunpoint' till the cops get there. Could the gun owner be charged with 'un-lawful restraint'? Chuck If Johnny Scumbucket breaks into the house? I doubt it. The reason I asked that question is because I've read of it happening. Not very often but in other states. Ihaven't heard of it here in Texas. Recently, a home owner held a guy who had broken into his home at gun-point till cops arrived and hauled him off. So far, I haven't heard of any charges against the home owner. Chuck -

I can imagine soem ugly results coming from that. Gun owner's homes picketed or bombed (the anti-gunners don't believe in guns), gun owners harrassed and so-n. What do politicians think with? Chuck -

No. It's just their natural style. Had gang-bangers watched 'Mythbusters', they would've learned that holding a pistol in that manner, is far less accurate than holding the pistol in the 'proper manner'. Basically, they are wasting lead. Chuck Crap at first I thought you posted Ghost Busters Try to keep up... will ya'? Chuck -

It was a quirky comedy brought about by a man named Brett Butt (his real name) with a cast of award winning Canadian actors. It all takes place at a gas station/grocery store/diner, out in the middle of the Saskatchewan prairie. Some of the things said have become part of our speech. Like 'stay-cation'. Chuck
