  1. I've done rectangular patches and have never had a problem or complaint about them. Just follow patching procedures as in Poynter's. Chuck
  2. Happy Birthday, Brains! Chuck
  3. _________________________________________ If, you noticed, The Stones, did not have their 'usual' sound equipmen, either. About 10-minutes before and after their show, was allowed for set-up and take-down. Also, it was in a domed stadium. I don't think, I've ever heard a band or pop group sounded 'good' at a half-time show. Chuck
  4. I read something today that said "is it a wardrobe malfunction if Mick's dentures fall out?" __________________________________ Could be construed as such, I guess. One does 'wear' dentures. Not so, in Micks case. Keith, on the other hand, is another story. Chuck
  5. I saw an interview with Mick Jagger, this past week. In it he said (with a big laugh) that Aretha Franklin was going "to bare her breasts!" I'll tell you what, I wish, I had as much energy as they do at their age! Chuck
  6. Finding a 31-15, shouldn't be difficult. I got mine, through a friend who wanted to sell it. He couldn't get it to sew... threaded wrong. At any rate, check Sewing Machine Sales (they're on the net), garage sales, sewing stores buletin boards. You could run a 'wanted' ad in your local newspaper. There was a 'ton' of them made. You just have to really get out and search. I think, they are a really good machine and as long as you keep them oiled... you can't kill 'em! I've seen them go for anywhere from (with table and motor) $150.00 - $275.00, depending on condition. Sometimes, a good cleaning will reveal a very good machine. Good luck to you! Chuck
  7. For one this thread was started in 04 it doesn't need flames. It's got longevity. Why would I wanna flame out when I can just coast for years 2 years old and it's still rollin. _________________________________________ Fluff cover-up! Chuck
  8. I for one, would really like to see a return of 'The Rigging Forum' to the PIA web site. It was a very good source of information and a good way to stay up-dated. Being moderated, similar to this forum could work. It also, drew some good contributors. Hope, it happens! Chuck
  9. _______________________________________ I guess, my attempt at a comedic reply failed. Chuck
  10. 'The latest in feed-sack attire!' Chuck
  11. Good Lord! That's funny! Chuck
  12. Take a chill pill, dood! C'mon, you're makin' a mountain out of a mole hill here. What you construed as 'non-vibes', was comedic sarcasm and just plain 'chain-jerkin'. You just got 'before surgery jitters'. Settle down, drop a valium or something to calm your nerves. It'll be cool! You'll only make things worse, talkin' that way. You know, we all love ya'. Keep us posted on the out-come of the surgery. Chuck
  13. __________________________________ He IS ugly! That sure looks like a booking photo. One thing about it he is 'expressing' his freedom of speech! Chuck
  14. _____________________________________ From the looks of the orange coveralls he's wearing in that picture... it's too late! Chuck
  15. _____________________________________ The part about the cop being 'jittery', got me too. His nerves probably, hadn't 'settled-down' from the 100-mph chase through a residential area. Had the 'vette not hit a brick wall, no telling what may have happened. The officer's adrenilin was certainly... up! Chuck
  16. Yes. It will be very interesting. Paticularly from what your saying. Impact factors can be used to justify force. For example if officer felt scared or threatened or other guy was bigger than him etc. But a gun not too sure thats justiifed. If anyone find out any more please let us know! Im not justifying his actions at all because from what we've seen its crazy. Lets see what the enquiry says
  17. ___________________________________ I've seen the video, several times and just as the cop is telling the man to 'get up', the man raises a hand and at that point, the officer fired at him. I could hear the man also say at one point; "I'm on your side!" Also, if you listen real close to the cop's voice, he sounds like he's 'lost it' or very scared. there's something about the tone of his voice. This is going to be a case to watch closely. Chuck
  18. So much for cooperation! I think, it's going to get really ugly, for the cop who did the shooting. Helluva 'welcome home' for the Air Cop! Chuck
  19. I guess, it does! Especially, the mullett! Ahhh, those were the days! Oh yeah, she is a hottie! Chuck
  20. ________________________________________ I think, I have every vinyl recording ever by Creedence! Chuck
  21. I "believe" it was Louis L'Amour who said, "When everyone wore guns on their hips, folks were a whole lot more polite to each other." _________________________________ You make a very good point. Maybe, if there was more 'politeness', folks might get farther. I was told as a kid; 'Yelling, doesn't make it better understood!' Chuck
  22. Stones, Yardbirds, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Dylan, uhhh... lesee... I got a bunch of vinyl. A few years ago, my wife got me a stereo system for my shop. Primarily a 'record player'.
  23. Our very own, dizzy.com JOHN RICH? No way! Chuck
