  1. ______________________________________ Reminds me of years ago when I was single and dating. The last words from my date when I dropped her off were; "That's him, officer!!!" Chuck
  2. Depending on the type machine and throat plate, you should be able to change feed-dogs and plate. Unless, the plate is already set-up for the type feed-dog you need. I had to do that with one of my machines. Also, you might need a wider presser foot. Chuck
  3. Hell ya she does!! I love to lay there and let her bounce & grind to her hearts content. Doesn't hurt my feelings ______________________________________ Damned good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that! I was looking for a response and that's about as good as they get! Chuck
  4. Depending on the type corn. Some corn is used for getting starch used for thickeners like gravies and sauces. Some corn is high in sugar... corn syrup, as used in cokes. I think what you are referring to is sweet corn, a hybrid and it goes through the digestive system like a rocket. Also, sometimes referred to as 'natures scrub brush'. Chuck
  5. I thought, by the title, you were referring to something else! Chuck

  7. I didn't give a damn about this story until this thread. but.. here goes. From what I have read, the Sheriff was notified about an hour after the shooting, they interviewed Cheney about 14 hours later, and the press was notified the next day. The story seems to be a kind of retaliation from the press because the owner of the ranch notified a local paper instead of the MSM. I haven't been able to find anything that suggests that the interview of Cheney by the Sheriff, 14 hours after the shooting was anything out of the ordinary. You and I both know if there was something odd about it, we would be reading it everywhere. But I can't find anybody except Likearock who thinks it's unusual. ____________________________________ Hunting accidents happen every season. Incidents 'might' get a small 'blurb' on the back page of the local newspaper. Because, the Vice President is involved, it's a big deal. The press is pissed because they didn't get the story first. Now, there's a big deal about booze being involved because, the V.P. had a beer with his meal. a couple hours before the incident. I can't believe that there was any intent on the V.P.'s part. It was an unfortunate accident. Some folks are screaming 'cover-up' on the part of the V.P. and all kinds of ridiculous crap. I am quite certain, the V.P. is feeling quite badly about all this. I think too, there is just a bunch of the typical 'knee-jerk' thing going on and everybody is getting all riled up about it. Too many folks with a 'lynch-mob' mentality wanting too much over a damned accident. i say, let it drop. We have bigger things to worry about. Chuck
  8. 20% "Too straight to be a homo guy"! Hell, I knew that. Chuck

  13. I've made a ton of weights for weightbelts. I've found that, #6 shot works best. For material, depending on the size of the pockets for the weights on the belt, I've found 2"-reserve bridle material works well. That, or para-pack material. A small funnel works great for putting the lead-shot into the pouches. edit to add: Average weight for each finished weight ranges 2 - 6lbs. Chuck
  14. I've walked out on people whose cell phone conversations last longer than a minute or two when they're with me for dinner or drinks or some other similar social setting. It's one thing to talk to someone else quickly (say, if they're planning to meet up with us) it's entirely another to have a full conversation. ______________________________________ I know, what you're saying! I've had that happen... one guy in particular. We'd (past tense) go to lunch, sit down and the first thing he'd do is grab his cellphone and start punching numbers! He'd be on the damned thing the whole time we're at lunch. The bill would come, he'd hang-up and we'd leave. That only happened twice! I can see, the need for a cellphone for emergencies but, there is no excuse for rudeness and lack of consideration for others. BUT, the cellphone companies are makin' a fortune. Chuck
  15. ________________________________________ I want one! Are they available? Think of the fun you could have with one of those! Get behind somebody while driving, they're on their cellphone blabbin' away and... ZAP! Hee, hee! Especially these kids that can't stay off the damned things and almost cause wrecks! Chuck
  16. He does, have a way with words! Chuck
  17. Cellphone users who have to constantly be yapping aimlessly are the rudest, most obnoxious, self-serving creeps I've ever seen! Are they that friggin' lonely, they have to be on their stupid phone, constantly disrupting other people's meals, movies, grocery shopping, bus ride, emergency room and so-on... I see 'em all the time, while driving, yapping and re-dialing. I want one of those zappers that when I see someone in a restaurant or theatre, on a cellphone... zzzzzzaaapp... end of call! Edit to add: If, it is a real emergency, I can understand that. Chuck

  22. _______________________________________ Cheney's was an accident. Kerry's was staged. you are right, calling Cheney a dork is appropriate, it's good term for someone that had an accidental goof of that extent. How bad would any of us feel in that situation? But calling Kerry a 'dork' for his dispicable actions is really taking is easy on the 'man'. But it's ok, he's rich. ______________________________ I feel bad for Cheney. It was an unfortunate accident. I can't imagine any 'intent' involved. I still, don't think the man deserves to be called 'names' of any kind. None of us, were there. As for John Kerry? I can come-up will all sorts of ugly names for John Kerry. I think, he's a decietful, un-scrupulous man who is only self-serving and couldn't give a shit less for anyone or anything but himself. JMO Chuck Where do you get the idea that Kerry didn't give a shit? He hated people so much that he joined the military. Do you think that Bush gives a shit? ________________________________________ Sure! Chuck
  23. Someone that shoots his friend and major contributor in the face is a far bigger dork. _______________________________________ Cheney's was an accident. Kerry's was staged. Chuck Ya, I am sure it was just an accident![/reply ______________________________________ I noted the sarcasm... Do you or anyone else have proof that it was anything but, an accident? Can you or anyone else prove 'intent' to harm, injure or kill, in that situation? (Here we go!) Chuck
