I tried that once! Wound-up with a whole bunch of tiny toilet paper squares. Looked like a bunch of Japanese flags, and a grub worm in a turtle neck! Then too, I related this in the earlier thread as mentioned above. Chuck -

I do indeed remember, although I never saw any drive-ins that served beer. Personally, I don't see the problem with a carload of people drinking and getting shitfaced, just so the driver is sober and not being screwed with by the drunk passsengers. Drivers drinking, on the other hand, is a bad thing. Walt ___________________________________ I think, the last drive-in beer place in the area was torn down about 15-yrs. ago. Well, it actually burned down, most of it. Rumor has it that some of the folks who didn't like the idea took matters into their own hands. Some say 'electrical short'. Folks would just drive-up, get a beer and visit with folks. There were picnic tables and you could buy chips and pretzels to go with your beer! Hell, I remember, grabbing a six-pack, un-cork one and driving to my buddy's house. Usually wound-up going for more beer! Just try that now! Chuck

There were drive-ins that served beer! I think, it's a good thing, the laws have changed. Not just because I don't drink any longer but, doing stuff like that today? Dayum! what a mess that would be! __________________________________ I don't know about that. Recently, a buddy of min, told me that his mom was stopped for a broken tail-light. The officer (local yokel) who stopped her, saw an open (empty) beer can that had rolled from under the seat. She was charged with 'having an open container in her vehicle while driving'. She had to pay a fine. Seems as though, my buddy, had been working on her car and had left the empty. Yup! He did pay her fine and etc. His mom has not drank in about 30-some years. I checked with my wife (a cop) and she said that it is against the law, to have an open (alchoholic beverage) container of any kind in your vehicle while driving. Chuck

I heard last night on one of those cooking shows that you can substitute Soy flour for white flour. Really cuts the carbs. That is if, you are cutting carbs. Sounds as though it turned out gooooood!

I don't know about that - a lampshade requires a lot of skin, and they would have to increase the number of arrests, convictions and executions. It could overburden the police, "justice" and prison systems. And they would have to quit torturing the prisoners, too, as that leaves unsightly scars. I'm having an image of Ricardo Montelban doing automobile advertisements touting how they are upholstered in "rich Corinthian Chinese leather"... ______________________________________ I recall, how Mr. Montalban, would tout 'Corinthian' leather in those Chrysler ads. 'Corinthian leather', was something he came-up with. There is no such thing. He thought it 'sounded' better than to say 'leather upholstry'. Chuck

Rush Limbaugh said the most entertaining thing on one of the rare times I listened to his show. According to him, the PROOF that there will never be a shortage of oil is that god loves us and he wouldn't shortchange us on such a useful commodity. And with that intellectual exercise behind us, we can stop fussing with conservation.
